River raid mechanics is the stupidest thing ever. The Saint George gears are randomized so often time I would clear out about half the map then need to travel back to the settlement to drop off the materials. Upon returning, the villages would rebuild so I would go to the other half of the map that I haven't been to. Still no gear. At this point I would need to travel back to the settlement to drop off materials. Once back the Saint George gears are randomized once again meaning I would have to clear everything all over again just to try to find the gears. Rinse and repeat indefinitely. I did some research and it was said the gears can be found in military camps and fortresses. I would purposely avoid the small camps and go straight to the military camps and fortresses but still no luck. The Saint George gears are randomized in some other locations. This is a never ending cycle of trying to find the damn gears. I give up. *Edit* Holy shit, after watching your video I cleared out the map and raised the alarm to max and still no champion??? This has got to be a bug.

Ok, when you have reached the point to fight the champion you will be given the quest. His location will NOT show up on the map. He is not in the middle (river severn). He is in the monastery in the NE corner of the map. You do not have to do anything like getting to max alarm (red) for the river. Once you have the quest to fight the champion just go to the monastery and work your way up. They will pop out and fight. Same for the other two. You will not see their locations (festering Valley for Ireland, and the same church in Ferrieres as the champion for France).
Playing on Stadia. No champion or quest has appeared. Cleared all location and blockades. There must be a trigger you're missing because I've yet to see anything involving a river champion. Is it power level based?

Missing the chest piece for the base game one, I don't have the dlc, in Dee and Sevex is 2/3 and 1/2, I don't understand what is wrong, I raider the known armor military camps multiple times.

They need to take out this "Randomized BULL HOCKEY" & put the gear in specific locations!!!! I'll raid all day just for giggles no problem but, to do it over & over b/c I can't find a fracking piece of armor just ticks me off (I mean the dang books are in specific locations, why not the gear too)??? Its not only rivier Severn, also in river Berbha i am missing gear, do you have to complete al missions in the raid’s before you can go back for the missing gear?
Have you found out yet because I haven't completed the Berbha mission yet and the champions didn't even show yet. And I still have to get the sword from Severn but I'm assuming I have to finish the other quest first idk.

I completed every location in the Severn river and I never found a single piece of gear. I’ve done every possible thing in the map and no gear is even spawned.
They're in the big chests. If you filled your ship before finding the gear you're not going to find it. It does not show up as a gear icon like in the main map.
It's officially time too put this game to pasture now. As everything ubisoft attempts to fix ends up breaking the game further.. And why people are still buying this B.S anymore is beyond ridiculous now. Christ ubisoft are still putting gear sets and other stuff into a broken and sometimes unplayable game.. For god sake I'd wish people would stop premoting this game until the fix it. You have youtubers like joraptor and others hyping that ubisoft gave us one handed swords on new gear sets . And I'm like yes for a broken F.... ING game. Ubisoft stop trying to sell us overpriced crap and fix the f... ing game..

Yeah i noticed this too, even went on the raid to find it till i realized i'd already done it all, also lately at random female eivors hair will start clipping through my helmets, this is the sigrblot festival hair only so not sure about others but knowing this game i'd be surprised if other styles didn't also, then there is any type of face mask not appearing on your face, but the voice is muffled however it shows in the inventory menu ( No i didn't have em hidden ) and i can't figure out what triggers it but it seems to happen more in Cent and Ireland, another curious one is that not only does my game crash on menus/map/cut scenes etc now, it straight up freezes in menus and that as in it stays working even on task manager and such but is completely frozen with no music and takes ages to get it to close.
I raided every single place in river severn and kill all captains at the highest level but yet it still shows 1 piece missing in that river--why (BTW--I did take out the spear champion and the sword champion)
after finishing all river raids, go back to the River Erriff and it should show another mission to go for all the champions (I think you talk to Vaugn first)

You have to do the new ones first, because they’ll give you a champion to fight. Then Vagn will tell you about other champions in other places, and that opens them up.

You must follow the quests in order for the champions to show up.
Which quests?
I completed every area of River Severn and it says I only have 1/3 Gear and weapons, enemy defenses are at max 🤷♂️
If u still struggling i just found out you must complete them in order just keep following the river raid quests
Guy's just finished all river raids quest from vagn then when you finished river rhine you gonna get quest for river severn and river berbha

Max defences is not the red bell it’s max alert you have to raid the same river 2 or 3 times to get max defenses

The champions were kind of lame. Thought they were going to be challenging. Btw, the Adrestia cosmetics are looking 🔥🔥🔥
I just used that spear move and killed them all in 2 shots. Unless they had 2 or 3 people. Then it didn’t take 2 shots, it took some extra maneuvers.
Does increasing difficulty affect river raids? I know the level scaling isn't effective

I was doing a river raid had a few locations to complete and the game bugged and went to home screen of my Xbox One.
Did the raids and still no Champion or marker
Completed all of the new raids? Afterwards you have to see Vagn and he gives you the next step to find the champions.

after finishing all river raids, go back to the River Erriff and it should show another mission to go for all the champions (I think you talk to Vaugn first)
