- JIC fittings are commonly manufactured in nickel alloys, brass, carbon, and stainless materials. These specific fittings and connections are used in most fluid power systems. When the male and female connections are put together, it creates a reliable seal. It’s important to note the three components that create a tubing assembly. This includes the fitting, the flare nut, and the sleeve. The JIC fittings have both advantages and disadvantages but generally they are great components to consider for your applications.
Episode two of Brennan's Fitting identification Series covers JIC fittings. Learn about the advantages and disadvantages, characteristics, options, similarities, and applications of JIC fittings.

So the million dollar question is
How do you identify a JIC and AN fittings apart?
They are the same
"Care must be taken to identify" the JIC vs AN.
There.
Now you know how! LOL.
Same threads, same angle. But different in a mysterious way measurable only when in the company of care.
Where can I find me some care to take and identify them?
Honestly, these 37 vs 37 vs 45 deg flare fittings are a ridiculous and absurd confusing mess and need to be abolished in favor of one STANDARD that works.
an fittinga used at air condition hoses... so you can identify from the hose or the application
AN has stricter tolerance specifications than JIC but they are practically similar.
May i take the video for my presentation ?
JIC and SAE are not interchangeable. JIC is 37 degrees, and SAE is 45 degrees. It has the same thread but a different angle; thus, it will not seal.
Not necessarily true. JIC and SAE have fittings with similar 37 degrees flare.
