Yeah that's why I have been using the mat and MDF unless I am just doing Vcarve

How does it do with twists or cupped wood?

I would think not well but you really shouldn't be putting that on your CNC. Well maybe if you are using it to flatten a slab or board or something. Then you would just use another hold down method.
