I love how when he says “but we’ll assure that nothing ever changes” and the lines after that his voice gets deep and cold and sinister. Casey is the man
Jaw dropped and tears in my eyes. I’m a die hard acts fan but this is so thrilling, chilling, and exciting!!! So powerful, I absolutely cannot wait for the album… fuck yes
I've never been a huge Dear Hunter fan; I like a few songs of theirs. But this release... yeah, it's a beast. Had the album on repeat ever since I discovered it.
@@lousama For real! I'm already backtracking through their discography. I'm also a hard-core Coheed and Cambria fan, so it kinda feels natural, but also a bit strange, to jump into another band's deep-ass multi-album storyline lol.
The orchestration, lyrical content, to the puppets. A true masterpiece. Then again I’ve been a fan for a long time. Love me a band who still uses horns creates so many dynamics and options.
I've been a fan of Casey and TDH since the mid-to-late 2000s, back when they started on their Acts journey... by Act III, they were my favorite band, and to watch them evolve so much further, with each Act getting better than the last, sheesh and then the epic Color Spectrum -- where of course, Casey is so musically inclined, that each 4-track EP perfectly matches its color -- oh and they also decided to release an alt-rock LP (Migrant) and a killer EP (All is as All Should Be) which only solidified them being a gift to modern prog rock, and yet they've remained under-the-radar. This album is a perfect example of great progressive rock can be in today's context, as opposed to the '70s for example. It's socio-politically essential, it has themes that it explores to a point where you can still make your own interpretations, and it's probably their most instrumentally interesting work yet: like with everything they've done, Casey's melodies are incredible, and the compositions are so well written and executed. I hope this gets all the attention that these guys deserve. In a just society, The Dear Hunter would take home a couple Grammys for this.
Literally the first time I’m seeing / hearing this band. I’ve heard the name before…never a song. It’s …weird, trippy, LOVE the dudes voice . Song is very unconventional. Love it.
This video is amazing. The design of whatever tf they are, the overseers or whatever are so cool. Truly is like nothing I have seen before. I love it! Can't wait to see more of this world in future releases
Amazing video for an amazing track. Would have loved to have seen a part 2 to this video for the other half of the track (especially with the full on B52s section at the end with dance instructions).
I want a music video for the second part of this song with the dance praising Emperor XCV at the end. It's so much fun and I want to know if there is a real dance to it!
@@thebloodbath8437 I was thinking about this today and the conclusion I came to is that the rings of society represents power with largest outer ring 8 being poverty the weakest and the central ring 1 being the Tower essentially the 1%. In this framework the only force stronger than Nature is the Political power house the Tower that controls the masses. I could be way off but its fun to think about.
@@thebloodbath8437 I believe it's what separates the tower from the lower classes. XCV looks out of their window and sees beautiful nature whereas everyone else sees ruin, it also symbolises that they cannot see the world for what it really is from the tower. "We can't see past our window but we deal in everything", not sure if quoted exactly but that's my interpretation -- one of many, at least.
I always thought Casey was keeping progressive musical theater alive and now it's solidified eternally. I'm just fishing but the Hamilton influence is so sick.

These creatures give me real Jim Henson vibes. Like something from the Dark Crystal. Can’t wait for the rest of the album.
I was thinking the exact same thing!
The guides are people in suits that are both a status symbol and something to induce fear. You can see one in the short movie, Cycle 8.
Loved hearing the reprise from "A Guide to Retrievals" in this section. Very happy Casey still loves tying everything together like that.
The weirdo machine lifting his head during Casey's extended vocalizations - crackin me up!
The orchestration, lyrical content, to the puppets. A true masterpiece. Then again I’ve been a fan for a long time. Love me a band who still uses horns creates so many dynamics and options.
Big dancing robot snails are now my favorite weird creature. This is such a good song too :D
Loving the creepy snails! Great song, looking forward to the rest 🥹

All my Jim Henson/80s needs have been fulfilled for the year with this
Just saw these guys live and this was their closing song, so epic
Thanks casey!
Man we need a musical based on this album and we need it NOW!
This is incredible, I genuinely laughed and had fun watching this while simultaneously being pissed at The Establishment.
Look at em whimper, look at em wheeze. Alienating the ones they are meant to appease...... Such a good lyric.

So cool! Loving the songs on ANTIMAI already!
Can’t wait to figure out the full story of this album if there is one but from the sounds of what we have so far I think there is
Each track describes a "social layer" of the city this new saga in.
@@chaywa that’s awesome

I absolutely hated this song initially, but the next day at work I decided to check it again and fell in love with it. 😅
I was the exact same lol
The chants were off putting at first, but after a couple of listens it grew on me
It took about 3-4 listens for me to get into it
Now imagine the call and response with the crowd at live shows. I can’t wait!!!
Same
WAIT WHAT?! Why is this the first I'm hearing of a new album? I gotta go check that mailing list XD
Go check the other single if you haven’t already! Called Ring 7 - Industry.
@@JohnSmith-wi3nb There are also live recordings of Ring 5 on UA-cam.
I can't wait for the album, I love this!!!! Also really excited for the story and all the lore in this world, it looks super interesting and cool!!
The artistry is through the roof.
enjoy it, although I was hoping despite the length, the video would include the entire track (like A Nightr on the Town, for example).
I'm so frickin hyped for this. Keep killing it with your absolute mad ideas y'all are coming up with
OH BOY IT BE GROOVY
absolutely amazing!! I can't wait for more to be released!!!!

This is a really cool way to make a music video
Can’t wait for July
So to anyone who's going out on this tour, wear your best Guide cosplay! XD
Epic 👌
Excited to hear ANTIMAI drop
The spoken parts sound SO MUCH like Lin Manuel Miranda music I had to look it up. 😅
Ring 1 - Tower » côté funky et groovy, Ring 4 - Patrol » me fait penser à Matt Bianco changement chez eux plus commercial
bro vibin
We're ready for the full album :)
Is anyone else getting "De Staat - Witch Doctor" vibes from those verse vocals?
I'm glad I'm not the only one who got those vibes haha
This is transcendent.
This video is hilarious and I love it

HOW DID I NEVER REALIZE THERE WAS AN ANTIMAI MUSIC VIDEO i've literally been open mouth grinning for 4 straight minutes dude
Funny snail robots go AAAAAAAAAAAAA
@caseybluecrescenzo do you have a studio? are you making visuals for other bands? i need more.
makes me think of what no face would have looked like if he had been in dark crystal 👀
Damn do I approve of this.
Who did the CG for this? The cloth sims are beautiful!
I did! And thank you kindly
So will there be an entire musical movie in this style or was this created exclusively for this song?
godamnnn that's all I can say
Casey what?
literally 1984
I like.
All I think of is forgetting Sarah Marshall when I see this..
We could always use another tithe!
Están bien cute los monitos esos

Our generations Pink Floyd.
