The Magnum wheels for the ute came from the Corvette. The wheels may have been supplied in custom width 7 thru 7.5 to 8.o inches The Corvette wheels are way way wider 8.5 inches minimum . Oh yea the Magnum was a way to sell remaining WB body shells sedan/ute . The new German designed Commodore was all new next model . Magnum name was meant for HQ-HJ Hx Hz Wb body types only . There were alot of influences from racing at the time .

Wheels are not “specially designed” they’re taken straight off the Corvette. You can even see the Corvette branding on the centre caps.
