Unbelievably underrated/over-hated show. Had some issues from rewrites/reshoots because of the pandemic storyline and the real world timing, but this show was still an absolute beast

of course because people suck, unfortunately while Isaiah represents horrific stories that happened to POC, he's not real. Much like there being black people who believe Wakanda is real (which is obviously isn't lol) you have people who somehow think Wyatt is actually US Agent, even though the guy had a black partner and they were best friends......somehow people twisted it and decided to take out all the hate on poor Wyatt. John Walker was not cut out for the mantle, and that only adds to the tragedy. He wanted to be worthy of that legacy, and the strain cost him. He is deeply flawed, but I don't doubt he wants to be good and do right.
This episode, particularly how the stories of John Walker and Isaiah Bradley were depicted, shows why Steve was always right in not signing the Sokovia Accords. The US government definitely would’ve done similar shit to other super humans. Hell, they kinda did it to Team Cap in Civil War when they all were imprisoned in the Raft.

I don't understand why Wyatt Russell got hate for this episode and the ending of the last episode. I didn't watch anything of his before the show but that first scene of his this episode makes me really want to and honestly made U.S Agent probably my favorite character in the show. If there's Haye towards Walker then that means the writers and Wyatt Russle did a great job with Walker as a villain. To where If you write a great villain that makes people hate them then you'll get reactions similiar to the chick @ 3:31. But you also can make villains more realistic and sympathetic example being Killmonger although there's moments where it's like ok maybe a bit too far but at the end aduince members sympathy with him and understand why he's doing what he's doing but how he's doing it ain't the right way.
Wyatt Russell was a fantastic choice as John Walker/US Agent. Can't wait to see his complex partnership with White Widow (Yelena Belanova) in Thunderbolts, which would be different than Rogers & Romanoff.
This show is so good bruh. People randomly hated on it but it was prob top 3 for me. Behind Loki and Wanda Vision moon knight being a close third. Very emotional show tho. The idea that when I was a kid captain America was my fav hero and at the same time Isaiah Bradley was being experimented on and shit sad asf to think about. Had some of the best conversations in marvel this episode

No, Sam gave up the shield because he felt he didn't deserve it and he didn't want the responsibility of being Captain America. It didn't have shit to do with racial politics because he still took it in the end and became Captain America after everything he went through later on in this show.

Even Bucky acknowledged he and Steve never took that into consideration when he apologized to Sam. Ironically, it was hearing Isaiah’s story that pushed Sam to finally accept the shield and the Captain America mantle.
@@tmc31390 Race was part of the reason but the biggest reason is that Steve and Bucky didn't even ask if he wanted that responsibility but just gave it to him. He didn't feel he was ready because he kept saying it felt weird and that it belonged to someone else. He even told Isaiah that he could've been the next Captain America before he told him his whole story.

It isn't as political. But the events of this series showed him that if he didn't do it, somebody else would, and they'd do it *wrong*. He didn't need the shield - the shield needed him. And one thing we know about Sam is that when he sees that something needs to be done, he doesn't wait for somebody else to do it. He steps up. It's what Sam Wilson does.

Steve was a glorified figure. The position of “Captain America” brought hope and it’s even lampshaded in other movies/shows (Rogers: The Musical from Hawkeye, Homecoming having that motivational video) Walker was just a good soldier thrust into that position by the US government because it’s necessary (at least in their eyes)

The character development and dialogue in this episode were fantastic. I really liked that shield catch heart to heart. Sam is the best therapist in Marvel. Oh and we can’t forget the training montage. Right now I like Carley more than Walker. I pity both of them but Carley is just more sympathetic imo. And that convo with Eziah broke my heart. Also lol Sara and Bucky flirting and Sam being like hell nah was hilarious. I mean I kinda ship it.
In this world Val would not be welcome in Wakanda also Black Panther 2 shows the progression of her character so she is and will be in conflict with the kingdom of Wakanda.
The "requirements" within the accords were questionable and gave the UN more leeway than the Avengers, and the bomb at the UN that incriminate Bucky added more fuel to the Avengers break-up.

I never understood why people liked John Walker. He's biggest weakness was his arrogance. It costed him every single L he got in this show. He thinks because he's been appointed Captain America by the government that he deserves special treatment whereas Steve was more humble about it and earned people's respect. John feels like he deserves it because of the title. He looked good on paper due to his achievements in the military which is why they chose him which goes completely against what the Captain America title stands for. "Fans" easily turned on Sam and Bucky because they didn't kiss his ass and what did John think would happen executing a guy with the shield in broad daylight in another country. He was too unstable and angry to even be chosen in the first place which is why it was bound to fail and he doesn't listen to anyone. Not even Sam and Bucky when they both have more experience than him. Lamar was his yes man who hyped him up saying he always makes the right decisions and went along with everything he did which got him captured and killed. Then he tries to kill Sam several times because he doesn't want to give up the shield when he and Bucky aren't even fighting to kill.

TBH Niko was complicit in Lemar's murder. Niko was there to murder Walker, which was why he was holding Walker so Karli could kill him. The law says that when a group of people conspire together to commit a felony, any deaths that occur as a result of that felony attempt are automatically considered murder regardless of whether they were intended or not, and all co-conspirators are considered as having committed the murder whether they pulled the trigger or not. So in a legal sense, Niko was absolutely one of Lemar's murderers. It didn't give Walker the right to just execute him, but saying "Niko didn't do it" is missing the point entirely. I don't understand why Wyatt Russell got hate for this episode and the ending of the last episode. I didn't watch anything of his before the show but that first scene of his this episode makes me really want to and honestly made U.S Agent probably my favorite character in the show. If there's Haye towards Walker then that means the writers and Wyatt Russle did a great job with Walker as a villain. To where If you write a great villain that makes people hate them then you'll get reactions similiar to the chick @ 3:31. But you also can make villains more realistic and sympathetic example being Killmonger although there's moments where it's like ok maybe a bit too far but at the end aduince members sympathy with him and understand why he's doing what he's doing but how he's doing it ain't the right way.
Wyatt Russell was a fantastic choice as John Walker/US Agent. Can't wait to see his complex partnership with White Widow (Yelena Belanova) in Thunderbolts, which would be different than Rogers & Romanoff.

Even Bucky acknowledged he and Steve never took that into consideration when he apologized to Sam. Ironically, it was hearing Isaiah’s story that pushed Sam to finally accept the shield and the Captain America mantle.

He didn't feel he was ready because he kept saying it felt weird and that it belonged to someone else. But the events of this series showed him that if he didn't do it, somebody else would, and they'd do it *wrong*. He didn't need the shield - the shield needed him. The position of “Captain America” brought hope and it’s even lampshaded in other movies/shows (Rogers: The Musical from Hawkeye, Homecoming having that motivational video)

The character development and dialogue in this episode were fantastic. I really liked that shield catch heart to heart. Sam is the best therapist in Marvel. Walker’s wife was definitely the MVP cause he definitely would’ve been a problem for Sam and Bucky had she not existed.
I never understood why people liked John Walker. He's biggest weakness was his arrogance. It costed him every single L he got in this show. He thinks because he's been appointed Captain America by the government that he deserves special treatment whereas Steve was more humble about it and earned people's respect. John feels like he deserves it because of the title. He looked good on paper due to his achievements in the military which is why they chose him which goes completely against what the Captain America title stands for. "Fans" easily turned on Sam and Bucky because they didn't kiss his ass and what did John think would happen executing a guy with the shield in broad daylight in another country. He was too unstable and angry to even be chosen in the first place which is why it was bound to fail and he doesn't listen to anyone. Not even Sam and Bucky when they both have more experience than him. Lamar was his yes man who hyped him up saying he always makes the right decisions and went along with everything he did which got him captured and killed. Then he tries to kill Sam several times because he doesn't want to give up the shield when he and Bucky aren't even fighting to kill.

TBH Niko was complicit in Lemar's murder. Niko was there to murder Walker, which was why he was holding Walker so Karli could kill him. The law says that when a group of people conspire together to commit a felony, any deaths that occur as a result of that felony attempt are automatically considered murder regardless of whether they were intended or not, and all co-conspirators are considered as having committed the murder whether they pulled the trigger or not. So in a legal sense, Niko was absolutely one of Lemar's murderers. It didn't give Walker the right to just execute him, but saying "Niko didn't do it" is missing the point entirely. Niko was not some innocent bystander in Lemar's murder.
