As a public school student, the one time I went to private school their gym was bascially equivalent to our whole school and legit everyone wore a suit as their uniform

I’ve never been to private
i’ve been to two private schools.. here are some things we got
1. one week camp.. for fifth graders 💀
2. yr 6 and over get more than one camp
3. uniforms that when you’re done shopping you’ve got $3.87 left.
4. two campuses
5. swimming carnival, athletics carnival, sports carnival
6. rich teachers
7. rich kids
8. thats all
Alright, as someone who’s had a completely different experience, here’s everything I got in my 5 years of private school (I moved to another city in 5th grade)
Private School:
Tuition: $1,700 a year, although I had a donor that paid for me to go
No playground or sporting equipment at recess
2 floor building
Library had like 300 books, and was probably the size of the restroom
A field trip to a local creak
A field trip to a pumpkin patch
Uniform was pretty basic: for boy, white button shirt, black slip on shoe, black vest, black pants. for girl, white button shirt, black slip on shoe, dress, and navy tights
*you could get these items for free from uniform closet if you wanted*
Basically all the kids were rich besides me
Staff was broke asf
They did literally everything to cut budget costs bc priv schools don’t get funded by US government
You forgot the kids that do nothing but trouble but have parents that don’t care

As someone who attends a private school I can say that most kids are straight up NPCs with rich parents. There are some chill kids who are nice and aren’t overly rich just have parents who want them to have a good education. But the worst ones are the stuck up kids who can always get what they want and are normally the best at all the sports.

currently go to a private school (famous for an incident involving a black student being beaten up for the cause of the famous "george floyd challenge"), the other day someone dropped a shit in the upper tank thingy of the toilet. This was an legendary feat as all of the toilet stall doors have been stolen for scrap, and the culprit would have had to do this sneakily in full view of all of the bathroom users which should be impossible considering the school of 2000 people only has one serviceable bathroom.

As a private school student I can say that over half of the people in my grade are legit either stuck up pricks or addicted to drugs and vapes. They were even desperate enough to destroy the vape detector in the bathroom.

It's funny because in the town I live we have 2 high schools right next to each other. One is a public (which I go to) and one is a private christian school that's actually more well known for having a higher eshay and general 'annoying/delinquent kids' population (and hogging parking space my god).
My school just recently got a massive multimillion dollar library built and general renovations around the school, which took a couple of years.
We got a bunch of resources and in my multimedia class we got access to new equipment, new computers, a RECORDING BOOTH and a GREENSCREEN ROOM.

I have moved from public to private at the beginning of this year and I was mostly disappointed abt one thing.
At my old school, they had good quality toilet paper, meanwhile we have 1ply at my current one.
So, if you do the maths, you pay 2k each term per student. There are 4 terms in a year so 8k a year per student. There are 1100+ kids at my prep-12 school so that’s almost 9mil. With that, I believe that my school should be able to pay for better toilet paper.
The most pessimistic scenario (from the 'CEO' of 'Private Schools Pty Ltd.' point of view):
School revenue per year = 1,100 students * (4 terms/year * $2,000/term/student) = $8,800,000/year
Best quality toilet paper (from google): 61c/100 sheets (or $0.0061/sheet)
Assuming the WORST, CONSTANTLY CRAPPING students that use 100 sheets a day each: 1,100 students * 100 sheets = 110,000 sheets/day
Assuming this DIARRHOEA PARADE lasts all year for all 40 weeks (i think) that exist in the Australian school calender: 110,000 sheets/day * 200 days = 22,000,000 sheets
Final cost per year = 22,000,000 sheets/year * $0.0061/sheet = $134,200/year
School revenue per year - quality toilet paper cost per year = $8,800,000/year - $134,200/year = $8,665,800/year
Barely a DENT. I just think the principal or whoever the hell is considered the "CEO" of a private school would HATE the idea of losing $134,200/year over something that gets wiped with literal crap and then thrown into a toilet. This is also assuming best-case for students (worst-case for the profiteer) meaning it's the MAXIMUM. In reality it'd probably be a lot closer to $10,000/year or less with really good quality toilet paper.

as a private school student. i go to a new school in brisbane it opened in like 2022 and I'm the 2nd oldest grade and im in gree 8 but every year we get more grades like next year well get grade 10. anyways we get new buildings every 2 years so we can get more grades in.. there are more people on the waiting list to go to my school then there are students.. like there are like 2000 students on a waitlist and we only got 335 kids in our school. we need to wear a blazer in term 2 and 3 and we need to have our uniforms proper or else we get a violation and need to go on a behaviour card. our teachers are hilarious tho... as long as you behave... but most of the kids have like families that are millionaires and we are pretty chill.. we do comment on the Aspley school kids on the train because they are just gross. and if someone gets caught vaping in our school. even outside school, they get expe;;ed. our school has millions just to spend of equipment and buildings as we get there. our school is still new tho sooooo.... that's my experience at a private school... :D
my private school is filled with mullet boys, basic popular girls, the funkiest kids you'll ever see and a bunch of eshays. the uniforms are nice enough and there are a bunch of extra clubs, sporting and performing arts so that's cool i guess.

I go to a private school and its BORING. Like yes we get to go on camp every year and get a lot more opportunities than others, which I am greatful for but seriously its boring. There are like no fights and half the school wishes they went to public school.

I mean, it was fair because they made the fees really low, because their aim was to provide Islamic education for refugees or people from low-income families, but seriously, it was so broke I'm not even gonna bother explaining coz there's just too much to type.

The public school thing is so real, my school district has no money left at all and they've cancelled like four big field trips in the last year, they had to fire a bunch of really nice teachers to replace them with newer teachers that they could pay less, they also cut out choir as an elective, they cut out this other program called future problem solvers because it involved too many field trips, the quality of the school lunches is somehow decreasing even more, which I didn't think was possible, most of the teachers have to pay with their own money for school supplies like calculators, protractors, the science tube things(I can't remember what they're called it's 3 in the morning), for all of the field trips they didn't cut we have to walk no matter how far away it is because they don't have money for busses, they're cutting out busses too and adding more routes per bus so they don't have to pay for more busses, and you get the idea.
I went to both public and private but my private school is not like a huge one where you can board it’s just a regular school but Not government owned 😂

the thing about most american private schools, they are very poor, sometimes worse than public schools, the only difference is mostly no agenda-ized curriculum and smaller class sizes and also uniforms, and fundraisers are very common to change the floors that are like 20+ years old, most of the time there are few rich kids and mostly middle class kids
