    Hi there - please could you tell me what you use to attach your pressed fresh flowers to set fondant (not buttercream) icing. I'm trying to find edible spray glue as liquid glue is too gloopy for my very fine flowers.

    So helpful. A quick question - how long in advance of the day the cake will be eaten, would you add the flowers/foliage? Could they be added a couple of days before and then the cake stored in the fridge? Or would they go soft or bleed into the icing?

      Hi Elizabeth, my completed cake was in the fridge for 48 hours before consumption and had no issues with bleeding into the icing or going soft. I can’t say what would happen beyond that unfortunately. Good luck xx

    How long can you store the flowers before you put them on the cake and in what kind of container? In the pantry or the fridge?

    Question, do I have to press the edible flowers before putting them on the cake? if I don't will they fall out?

    How many flowers would you suggest for a two-tiered cake?

    • @oli45c
      @oli45c  2 роки тому

      I used one punnet for this cake so I would
      Definitely go for two on two tier cake, I couldn’t specifically tell you how many flowers you need exactly as it would depend on the the size of your cakes, spacing between flowers and the size of each flower.

    Is that a real flowers n leaves,,does it give bitter taste in cake,,,???

    • @oli45c
      @oli45c  3 роки тому +1

      They are real edible flowers and leaves. I personally didn’t eat the flowers or leaves as I gave the cake away. However I have eaten an edible flower in a donut before and found to be quite nice. I suppose if someone didn’t want to eat the flower when serving the cake you just cut off the outside layer of frosting,
