Kinda of inaccurate to portray Kurt playing what appears to be an Ibanez SR300 bass at 0:03, a bass I am entirely positive he never played, because even though they were manufactured as early as 1987 (which I am pretty sure is in the same ballpark as when this demo was recorded) they weren't exactly common, especially in a left handed configuration. The only basses that Kurt has been pictured with are: Sears catalog Jazz bass copy (the only bass to my knowledge that was his own), Ibanez Black Eagle (belonging to Krist), Gibson Ripper (also Krists), Warwick Dolphin (borrowed to Krist by a Dutch radio station they were doing a session for, and a photo was taken of Kurt playing it). Would've made a lot more sense to have him play the Sears bass in this clip.
He recorded a lot of music at home when he had an idea for a song that he would then bring into the studio. You can look most of it up, it’s pretty epic. Definitely recommend checking it out.
