Thanks your sharing! Now you mentioned it, Jab-Chai sounds kind of like Zha Cai (杂菜) in Mandarin to me which means mixed vegetable but I guess in the Teochew dialect Jab means 10, so a mix of 10 vegetables. Similar concepts nevertheless.
I still quite surprise till now, my great grand parent move from China to Thailand probably around 100 years ago (they move back and forth due to their job), and somehow we still have contact with relatives in China till today even after settle here in Thailand for long time. Nationality stuff is more like abstract thing in personal and cultural level.
Thanks! I absolutely enjoyed it and yea a new series on Thailand is coming out soon! And of course the Chinese series will continue to receive its update 😁
Great video! Really interesting. Will definitely be checking the restaurant. I drive past it every day on the way home from work but have never noticed it!
Hi guy, if you order a lot dish of khao gaeng. It good to have a middle spoon each dish to use togethet. Pick a bit of dish you need on to your rice plate after that use your own spoon and folk to eat. This is the way Thais eat together.
Thanks for the tips! We do this in China as well nowadays, that sometimes people use a public utensil for better sanitation, but often times the people on the table know each other well enough that they didn't care using it like we did here 😂
12 minutes into the video, and the guy is still talking 🤦🤦🤦. Fufski, we felt your pain!!!💔💔💔. Next time let him do the talking on his channel, and on your channel let him do the eating. And letting you eat too 🤣🤣🤣. You can share one video 😅😅😅.
Thanks for inviting me!
Thanks for joining me!
World's colliding for me. I subbed to you before I found out about OTR last year.
The world is small right?
9:32 That is Jub-Chai which I believe means 10 veggetables in Teochew Chinese, my grandma just cooked that in the Chinese new year.
