I really enjoyed the first 3. I know Gloria Thompson has been binging them in the last few months and really enjoying them. I just want to make some progress!
🔍 loved this video! You have empowered me to DNF some series.. I have issues with not finishing something but you have always made an excellent point to read what you love. So many books so little time. Happy Holidays 🎄
I don’t know that I’ve kept track of my series reading, but want to get more on top of that. I like how you have a system and a goal for 2025. I did DNF the Wheel of Time series this year at Book 9. That stung a little as far as how far I was in the series, but I just wasn’t enjoying it as much as I had hoped. Good for you for DNF-ing the series that don’t hold your attention, and moving onto the ones that do. 🙌🏼
I read a couple of Three Pines books out of order. This coming year, I plan to go back and start the series in order. I also want to start The Timreless series. It sounds like one I would enjoy.
I got hooked on the Cleo Coyle’s Coffeehouse Mysteries …. The coffee theme is what caught my eye.. I’m on book 4 - half the fun is finding them at a discount … have not paid full price for the 8 I have so far…. 🧐
I’ve never counted my series but I’m very inspired to do so now!! Krista, Would you consider a video showing how you create & arrange your spreadsheets? ( I love a good spreadsheet!!!)
Hey Krista, just started a "new" (to me) series. A Victorian cozy suspense? I got the 2nd bk at a Library bk sale last Sunday and checked out the first in the series at the same time. (I did research any potential purchase for available offerings in the series.) So, I started: AND ONLY TO DECIEVE. Interesting premise: Victorian bride, in loveless marriage, becomes a widow shortly after honeymoon. She starts seeing someone following her and investigating secrets surrounding who her husband really was. A cozy yet intriguing mystery. If you like the Victorian era, museums and art then join me for a cuppa in the salon.😂
I really got obsessed with making spreadsheets in the last couple years. I tried the journal thing, but wasn't keeping up with it. This has worked for now. So I'll keep them going!
Warbreaker is a full length novel. It is on a separate planet in the Cosmere but should be read before Oathbringer or Words of Radiance as there is crossover with some characters.
I flat out enjoyed your 'long chatty video' about the series in your reading space - love the idea of a series spreadsheet. Sharing some series chat back your way, there is no need to reply to my lengthier comment at all, I'm guessing how flat out busy you are right now too. Series: I'm awaiting on library holds for the next books in The Queen's Thief, and, The Nevernore series. Just read Peter Grainger's latest on D.C.Smith (I note extras/content things in each book on Goodreads, I follow you over there as Tuesdayschild) Waiting on next books for both of Charles Todd's series (Inspector Ian Rutledge, &, Bess Crawford), and A.J Pearce's 4th book about Emmy Lake. I'm tempted to step away from trying to complete Angela Thirkell's Barsetshire books, and have yet to start Lark Rise to Candleford.
I got some of the Anthony Horowitz books recently for my birthday so looking forward to reading them next year 😊. I don’t know how many series I have to read although I also plan on starting the Maisie Dobbs books.
LOVE The Secret Bone And Scone Society. (the novels) just ordered #4. Want to read them in order. Also like Mrrs. Bird series and many others you showed. Yesterday I saw The Maid series has a Christmas bk. out. I've had a hard time getting into 1st bk. of Shady Hollow, don't know why.Recently bought a new christian series by Julie Klassen(love her bks. for YEARS). It's called The Devonshire ? so far 3 out. I did not like Finlay Donovan, dnf'd the first due to language.I liked The Finders Keepers Library. Vera Wong has a sequel coming out early 2025, can't wait to get.Guess you already knew!Is Robin Hobbs writing fantasy? You read ALOT of series! I used to in my 30's and 40's but not so much any more; except for cozy mysteries. Answer to your comment about Wild Hope.. It blesses me and often I will cry. It goes deep. Thanks Krista, great video🤗
I currently have 31 series on my spreadsheet. I hope to get that number knocked down in 2025. I did DNF 5 series this year, so I count that as a win. Good luck on your series goal for next year.
I’m not too much of a series gal. Read several as a kid, but as an adult I’m a huge mood reader, and I jump around a lot… and I tend to get tired of things in a series. I’ve read Ken Follett’s Kingbridge and Century series’, I’m up to date in the Outlander series (and will absolutely read book 10 as soon as it comes out), and I’m going to start the Neapolitan series by Elena Ferrante. I’m thinking about the Brandon Sanderson series because of you… and maybe the one with the forest creatures. We’ll see… depending on my mood!
You crack me up! BYEEEEEE!! I don’t know the status of any series I’m reading except for Alison Weir’s six Tudor queens and The Thursday Murder Club. Both I am excited to continue!
Well I have not looked into my active series, but I just added a ton I am going to start!!! You always do this to me! Ha! I love your enthusiasm for books! I feel the same! 2025 is going to be so fun!
We had water damage 2 months ago and my books are still boxed up😢. I’m planning on reorganizing my shelves once all repairs are complete. Hopefully by the New Year 🙏 You gave me some great ideas🔍
I’ve never kept track of my series. I probably should. I am a huge reader so I just keep rereading favorite series instead of continuing those I’ve started. A favorite is the Percy Jackson. You really don’t need to go past Last Olympian if you don’t want to because that is the original end to the series and it all ties up well. Also don’t judge the series by Sea of Monsters! It’s the weakest book in the series.
I so rarely reread. I would like to a bit this year...hopefully. Good to know about the Percy Jackson series. I may continue with that one. Jury is still out on that one.
I admire how organized you are with your series books. I’ve got probably a couple of dozen; some in progress, some I want to reread, some are just kind of suspended and probably could be dnf’d except I struggle with that😊. Plus there are even more I want to start. I am all over the place with series😂. 🔎
I like having the visual of my spreadsheet. I find it motivating to highlight them off and see the progress I'm making very easily. I am all over the place with series too, but am hoping to get the big number down quite a bit this year. Hopefully I can refrain from starting too many new ones. haha. We'll see.
Hi Krista I have three Series to finish yet - Throne Of Glass Series - Cat in the Stacks Series - Currently Reading - Assistant To The Villain - I want to read the next book after this one. I have read Live Ship Traders Series - Read all three books. I have Read Lightening Thief by Rick Riordan I hope that you will get to accomplish your Reading Goals. Happy Reading ❤️🤗🙏🎄🔰📚📖☕️❤️
Light fall covers r Beautiful. Reading Olive kitteridge Olive again if it ever comes in library was a mix up and had to re order been waiting since August first time that happen. Technology.
Loved the Logan Family series! There are five novels and the others are novellas so easy to get through it. The last Novel is more adult than middle grade though, written years after the others, but such a good ending.
I use to bing read series but lately I get distracted by new shiny books. Lol! I am curious to go back through my good reads and see what series I have started but not finished.
I would like to binge a few this year. I did a couple last year, the Track series and the Divine Rivals duology. It was fun going straight into the next book. Need to try that more often! GR was a big help in making this list.
Krys’ Corner is doing a year-long series readathon that sounds fun! I’ve never made myself a list but I should so I can participate more effectively. I have some random series on my Kindle that I got as bundles but haven’t even tried, so I want to at least see what I think about those.
I'll have to check that out. Might need all the motivation I can get! haha. I do Series September, but a year long challenge might be great. I forget about my Kindle all the time! haha.
I don’t have many series. I have Throne of Glass, Butcher and Blackbird, Fourth Wing, chestnut Springs, the Lengend, Good Girls Guide to Murder. I need to finish these before I start new ones. Or I’ll be stress out😅
No stress allowed! Reading is for fun only. haha. I hear you though. Everyone has their limits. I hope you love those books as you continue those series.
I’ve really liked the Myrtle Hardcastle series, the second and fourth were my favorites. I read the whole Natural History of Dragons series this year. Really loved the audiobooks! I am hoping to start the Stormlight Archive in January and see how far I can get in the series in 2025. Those books are so huge😬😁
Good to know the audiobooks are good for Natural History of Dragons. The Stormlight books are so big! But so good. I hope you enjoy getting into that series.
I started quite a few last year and made some progress in a few of those. I have been working on the long and still active series by Joanne Fluke, made it to book 8 which I plan to read next month! Progressing or dnfing series will definitely be a goal of mine in 2025. I’ll probably start some more too 🤣.
I also DNF ed seven series in 2024 and I am quite proud of myself. Finished 4 series 😊, up to date in 3 and have 44 ongoing 🙈 Will do a very similiar video at the end of the year 😊 PS: the fourth book is Phyllida Bright is series out, read it and enjoyed it very much 😉
Nice! It's good to take a good look at what series I'm reading. I went through Goodreads and had to add a few to the list that I didn't have included. Now my list is up to date and will be helpful moving into the new year. I look forward to seeing your video when it goes up.
🔍I must have very similar reading experiences to you because I agree with so much of what you say about the books you read. I trust your recommendations for sure!
I’m sad that you have DNF’d the Al Capone Series. Al Capone plays a more pivotal role as does the sister. The only series I am eager to read is the Three Pines. I have the latest one but I’m just reluctant to read it because I will be so let down. I binge on series I like so I have finished the ones I’m crazy about. I’m eagerly awaiting the The Summer Guests by Tess Gerritsen (sequel to The Spy Coast). I’m up to date on the DC Smith series by Peter Grainger which I love.
I DNF Finlay Donevan series. Loved the first one but thought it should have been a standalone. Didn't like the 2nd at all. I loved The Murder of Mr. Wickman. I tried to read the 2nd but just couldn't get through it. I am finding that I wish more books were standalones.
I have a feeling I'll be DNFing Finlay Donovan too. I just don't feel eager to continue. Probably should have already DNFd it. Oh well. Bummer you didn't like the second in the Mr Darcy/Miss Tilney series. I have it on my shelves. Hopefully I'll fare a bit better with it. We'll see.
I binged the whole Maisie Dobbs series during the Pandemic. One of my favorites! Well worth it ❤
I really enjoyed the first 3. I know Gloria Thompson has been binging them in the last few months and really enjoying them. I just want to make some progress!
I love cozy mysteries and historical ones too. This year I have completed 8 series. Happy Reading and take care
Fully support DNFing series and not continuing a series that didn’t need a sequel!!
🔍 loved this video! You have empowered me to DNF some series.. I have issues with not finishing something but you have always made an excellent point to read what you love. So many books so little time. Happy Holidays 🎄
I love to binge series. I'm currently reading 19 series, but have so many on my shelves to start.
I only binged 2 this year, but would like to do that a bit more next year. It is fun to go straight into the next in the series.
Read the whole original series… so worth it.
Which series are you talking about here?
Krista, I love your channel! I’ve started to get back into reading….some of your suggestions have been wonderful! Thank you, dear friend!
Thanks so much, Norma. I'm so glad you're here!

ACCEPTABLE TIME! I can understand not reading swiftly tilting planet and the other, but Many Waters and Acceptable Time are so much better.
I read a couple of Three Pines books out of order. This coming year, I plan to go back and start the series in order. I also want to start The Timreless series. It sounds like one I would enjoy.
I would love to complete one of these longer series and 3 pines is right up there.
I got hooked on the Cleo Coyle’s Coffeehouse Mysteries …. The coffee theme is what caught my eye.. I’m on book 4 - half the fun is finding them at a discount … have not paid full price for the 8 I have so far…. 🧐

Yes! That was me recommending the Memoirs of Lady Trent! Woo hoo! There is also a novella to that series.
And Robin Hobb.is Liveship Traders.
I knew that about Liveship, but it escaped my mind while filming...of course.
@@BooksAndJams that is why you have a Hobb super fan helping you out. Lol

I love the Timeless series. That is the one series I have kept up with.
The first two were really good. I am definitely going to continue that one.

I forgot about Assistant to the Villain. That's another series I'll probably start in 2025. Happy reading!
@ Assistant to the Villain is really good - I love what I have read so far.
Light fall covers r Beautiful. Reading Olive kitteridge Olive again if it ever comes in library was a mix up and had to re order been waiting since August first time that happen. Technology.
Yes, they're very cool covers in the Lightfall series. Bummer about the library mixup.
Loved the Logan Family series! There are five novels and the others are novellas so easy to get through it. The last Novel is more adult than middle grade though, written years after the others, but such a good ending.
I should just binge that series this year. Maybe in March I will aim to make a lot of progress.

I hear that completely. I'm hoping to binge a few at least in the new year. We'll see.

I’m terrible about reading my series. I should probably make it a goal for next year.
War breaker is a full length novel Edgedancer and
Dawnshard are the Novellas
Ok cool. Thanks for clarifying.
Great video, I was looking for something new and now I have a lot to check out. 🔎🕵️♀️🔍
Woohoo! As always, I'm glad to add to your list!
I have 32 active series. Plus another 20 that I am caught up on but will continue when nee books are released.
Sounds pretty similar to my numbers. Happy reading!
I don’t have many series. I have Throne of Glass, Butcher and Blackbird, Fourth Wing, chestnut Springs, the Lengend, Good Girls Guide to Murder. I need to finish these before I start new ones. Or I’ll be stress out😅

I’ve really liked the Myrtle Hardcastle series, the second and fourth were my favorites.

Way to many series that I have started or need to start. Need to go through them and decide what to do with them. 🔎
🔎
I do have several series on the go but I honestly have no idea how many! I should probably keep track but am not a fan of spreadsheets. lol.
I used to keep track in my reading journal. It was fun for a minute, but they I got into spreadsheets and like having the list there.
I need to do this Almost afraid to see the numbers 😬
Don't miss Louise Penny 's Three Pines.
🔎 ❤
hi this past year I completed the Sevens Sister Series by Lucinda Riley. I'm currently in the middle of 15 others series 🔍🔎🔍🔎

How can we resist starting more series when there are so many good ones out there? Problems of readers. haha.

Finlay Donovan was a DNF series for me. The 3rd one was the worst and the reason I’ve decided to DNF.
I think I'm probably going to end up DNFing that series too.
I DNF Finlay Donevan series. Loved the first one but thought it should have been a standalone. Didn't like the 2nd at all. I loved The Murder of Mr. Wickman. I tried to read the 2nd but just couldn't get through it. I am finding that I wish more books were standalones.

A.J. Pearce is coming out with new book in the series in 2025.
OH man. haha. I didn't know that. Was hopeful to just read one more and be done with another series! haha. Oh well.
