Thou O Lord will
open my lips,
And my tongue shall
announce Thy praise.
Incline unto my aid
O God, O Lord make
haste to help me.
ACT OF HOPE
O my God,
trusting in your promises
and because you are faithful,
powerful and merciful,
I hope, through the merits of Jesus Christ,
for the pardon of my sins,
final perseverance

Saint-Macrina-the-Elder
Generous God,
as a testament of Saint Macrina the elder’s great holiness and loving devotion to family,
her son and grandchildren became saints: Saint Basil the Elder,
Saint Basil the Great, Saint Gregory of Nyssa, Saint Peter of Sebaste, and Saint Macrina the Younger.
I place into her intercession
my own grandchildren-be they born or unborn,
of my flesh or spiritual.
Guard them against financial poverty
and the impoverishment of the soul.
Pray that I become a better example of the joys of serving You.
Let me not teach them anything that is contrary to Your will.
Help me to pass down my faith
as a legacy
that will last them throughout all eternity.

PRAYER FOR STRENGTH
Isaiah 40:30-31
Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like the eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.
Father, I know that we sometimes go through seasons when we feel weak and tired.
But - I also know that your word is true,
and Your word says that when we trust in You,
we find new strength.
It’s when we are weak that we can learn to appreciate Your strength!
You always carry us through to the other side of weariness and exhaustion. When we need strength, help us to lean on you. Help us to accomplish our daily tasks and not grow weary. Give us energy for the days ahead.
