You never know what would happen. Don't think they would beat Eckhoff easy last season for an example. Even when they were active they didn't always won. Neuner won the total cup One year, the next year not, then won again, but not next year, then won again but not next year. Not easy just to win. You never now if they would get injured or if someone new and better come or just a bad year. But Neuner I rank with Forsberg as the best ever. Dahlmeier was great but nothing special compare to other great ones as Domracheva for an exempel.
@@erikjohanson23 wtf :D Dahlmeier dominated like nobody else in her prime. But she was injured or sick all the time. And of course they would have beaten eckhoff by far. At the moment the world elite is not good so someone like eckhoff stands out
@@ragnarjacksonrotich5671 Don't agree. And just like you say, she could be injured or something, it's not easy to just win. Dahlmeier was great. But not the best one. Forsberg and Neuner better. Dahlmeier was a bit after this two. Just like Domracheva and a couple of others. Forsberg won the overall six times straight. Dahlmeier won once. Just don't compare them and also write "WTF" like I'm crazy when you are. Dahlmeier super, but not in Forsberg/Neunerclass.
@@erikjohanson23 Forsberg never won an olympic gold. Neuner and Dahlmeier won more olympics and more world championships even though they had a much shorter career. Of course they have less world cup wins because they retired at 24 and 25. You can say that Forsberg maybe had a better career but her prime was never as good as Neuners or Dahlmeiers.
Super impressive run by Kaisa Makarainen, especially when you consider her age is 30+ during those years when she was dominating this chart. Never had Dahlmaier’s brilliant shooting skill but won over a decade by gutting out those fast laps.
Cool stuff but it has a problem with athletes missing one or several seasons or being banned. For example, Iourieva stays in top-10 for 4-5 years after 2009 when she was banned.
Would be funny to see that one absurd race by Lampic mess up the bars for a fraction of a second, though I guess it's doesn't qualify for a 7-race average.
Not really, everybody has gotten faster and there is less difference between skiers now. The precentage shows how much faster they are compare to the top 30 and there is just less difference now!
It's hard to tell as the number depends on how good the field is as a whole. If the overall strength of the field gets higher the gap will get smaller for the leaders even if they are as fast as ever, the opposite is also true if the field gets worse. It's a great number for comparing skiers during a season or even the form of a skier between seasons but it's unreliable when comparing many years apart.
Just watched the men's version of the video which illustrates it pretty well. Nobody ever got into the -4% from what I could tell. The field is simply too strong to gap by that amount.
Magdalena Neuner broke my heart as she quits Biathlon with 25...Same with Laura Dahlmeier. These 2 would be the best of all time

what is "-3,5%" for Elvira Oeberg for example? How do I read those numbers? What is the baseline? If its minus does that mean she's slower? Or faster?
It means over the last 7 races, her course time was 3.5% below (e.g. faster) than the median course time of the top 30.
Сейчас в среднем конкуренция повышается и нет такого большого разрыва по скорости, как раньше

You are right. I didn't even notice that tbh. I might post an updated version before the Olympics. ;)
Just Magdalena Neuner! 🤩

Same. But sadly her shootings wrre too inconsistent. She was fast tho
How dominant were Disl and Poiree, at -6%, even Neuner, Domracheva, Makaraainen didn't get close.
Слишком быстро, ничего не понятно

Did they got slower over time? Even Elvira, although she is young, is slower than the ladies about 10 years ago. The same with Tiril
