Great idea and the result speaks for itself. I will be doing this next year as the front yard cemetery is wide in my haunt and it's tiresome refilling a cup or so of ice in the Spirit Hallowe'en low lying foggers, plus it doesn't work that great. The irony is that I have a length of rain pipe that I set aside from the side of my porch to eliminate any trip hazard and I could have used it in your way all along! Thanks for posting this.
If you move the hose from against the fog machine, by about 2 inches, you’ll get better flow of the fog from the other end of the pipe. Also, with bigger fog machines, the fog coming out is very hot and will melt plastic piping. I’ve watched tons of these “cheap, easy low lying fog” videos and a guy showed how having the fog flow over water, just air temp. water - doesn’t have to be cold, can make a huge difference. The fog was thicker/heavier due to picking up moisture from the water. This made the fog stay on the ground longer and last longer, too. . I’m going to use the method I described above but I’m also going to get an ultrasonic mister with a floater ring, drop that in the water, and the effect will be even better. Thanks for the video!
I’m debating about getting a fog machine but then I also need to get fog juice for it. I did find an different video where I can find an old cooler or just get a cheap one, then put a shelf in it that can hold the weight of 12 frozen water bottles and a block of dry ice (on Halloween). Then I drill a hole in the cooler for the fog to come out and a little bit of water because when the frozen water bottles start to unfreeze. I just don’t know what is easier buying a fog machine or making one semi-DIY.
I know its been a year or so but what fluid did you use? I got the Froggys Freezin and it does pretty good but worried about the hangtime of it. I have same pipe and using water bottles as well.
The main issue I have is despite using this same setup, the fog does end up raising and filling my room For a long time. I thought about getting a box fan to set in a window and try to use as ventilation to get it to flow out but not sure if that will work
@@IceMaN8o4 thank you for verifying this . I will update on my experience after Monday night trick or treat (10-31-22 ) I have 2 1000 watt fog machines . Again thank you and happy Halloween
Any fog machine. A specific low lying fog machine already has a cargo space for ice cubes. This hose method let's you use the cheaper regular fog machines.
So I tried the hose out (2x8') last night, getting some test runs in before halloween night. I ended up putting 1" holes in about every foot, facing the lawn so it spread evenly across my lawn. Still just spouted right up in the air. barely made it to the second hose. Thoughts?
My guess is that your hose diameter is too small. There needs to be free space around the water bottles so the fog doesn't back up on itself. My hose I think was 3.5"
@@MakeItMike yea not sure. I grabbed an in line fan to add in the middle of the two hoses to push it thru. I'll test in a couple days. Also ordering. Specific low lying fog juice too
I have the same pipe and 8 water bottles frozen. I tried it and it didn’t work for me at all. Fog doesn’t lie low. Do I need more water bottles? Frustrating bc it looked so simple.
I think the guy said it worked better by mocing the hose about 2 inches away from the machine. You can also buy low dense thick fog that may work better with this adjustment. Im goni buy the low fog & try it this way instead of using plastic pipes & see how it goes.
I've watched like 25 videos on how to make a chiller and all I needed was a tube and water bottles?!!!? 🤯 You da man!

This sounds very intriguing. Any video of what you're talking about here. Thanks
Genius. You just saved me so much money.
Nicely done! I did the trash can last year and ice and just couldn’t get it to flow right.. definitely setting this up.. thanks for the video!
I’m so grateful to find this video. I will be heading to home depot tomorrow.
This video is greatly appreciated thank you for sharing
Excellent vid, can't wait to try this. Thanks

Does anyone know if this hack will work on the 1000 watt spirit Halloween fog machine
Yes it will

@@mikehalfmoonmullins404did it work?
@@mikehalfmoonmullins404still waiting on that update.
Love this idea..saw some cutting holes in a big cooler and having loose ice😮 much cleaner and simple
Where did you get the hose to attach to the machine?
Home depot
How long does it run before the bottles need replaced?
Very cool and did you just tape the hose to the fog machine?
Do i need a fog machine that is for low lying fog? Or is this going to work with a regular fog machine?
Any fog machine. A specific low lying fog machine already has a cargo space for ice cubes. This hose method let's you use the cheaper regular fog machines.
R u using low lying fog juice?
What fog machine are you using?
The cheapo one from Walmart.

@@MakeItMike hmm mine is same
@@TheXerosyn huh, in that case maybe the volume of fog isn't enough for two hoses? That's weird.

Do you put anything in the fog machine?
We just use the fog machine solution from Walmart that comes in the black 64 oz jug. The brand is "way to celebrate"
