Meryl never disappoints... always impeccable, far-out tUnE-yArDs harmonies, complex percussive backbeats, original ideas for songs. One of the world's creative talents that should be mandatory listening and enjoyment for all. I love watching her mouth formation for those big, bold, high-pitched melodic stretches... notice the placement of her tongue... very flat, and so much open space for the best possible vocal production. Sheer talent!
I've never had a day that included Tune-Yards music, that wasn't significantly improved because of it. Today is no exception. Magnificent video for a beautiful song. Can't wait for the new record!

I was looking for great music and I found "Tune-Yards"! This band should be brought even further into the light. I really appreciate them. I listen to their album "ticky tack" at least twice followed by "sketchy".
A strong artistic vision with strong vocals.
So I passed out with the tv on. I'm half awake and hear this voice from the tv. I was like that voice sounds familiar and so does the bass. That sound likes tune-yards. Went to youtube and lo and behold it was!!!!!!

yeah they really fell off really hard... i remenber back in the early 2010s they were one of the most loved bands by the hipster crew but now many people seem to just have forgotten about them

I can't lie it's hypnotizing
My dad had a miniature HO train track landscape set up in his basement with tunnels and bridges and little plastic people standing around. I think he was trying to create an orderly, "normal" world, but this video presents a landscape that is infinitely more interesting, one that I would rather witness if I were on that miniature train.

My, her voice: Special. It's rhythmic and melodic, which is rare. She sounds like Roberta Flack, with that thick, high pitched bottom and soaring top.

Is the music as good? Is the video as good? Or could it maybe be even better? Or is it just too "out there", as well as being instrumental?
That's a matter of opinion - but Anna & Co. did the Lego train camera approach almost two years ago, and did it with the whole band choreographed and switching positions to be in the shots when the train came by.
Thanks for sharing that. I’m sure tons of comparisons between the two videos can be made, but I feel like the intention and use of the train is really different between the two videos. For one thing, the movement of the train in the Paramour video doesn’t really match the music as well as this video, and their video overall is a little lacking visually. But at the same time, maybe they didn’t want it to be as intense as Hypnotized; they are clearly very different songs. Either way, both really neat uses of this technique
