After 20+ years of cooking big meals every holiday. I went through a divorce and for a few years, I just couldn't bring myself to cook on a holiday. I didn't even want to be in my home. I was grieving too much. Me and my boys took advantage of places that were open on holidays. Cracker Barrel, IHOP and local casinos with restaurants and buffets. Many other places. We also went on little out of town car trips or just a day trip somewhere within a few hours of our home. You'd be surprised at what is open now on any holiday. A little hotel stay for a night or two makes the biggest difference when you're in a personal crisis. This was my savings grace. Nothing wrong with getting a little help anyway you can when life is tough. Blessings to you and your family.

During a season of crisis and healing years ago I did chicken fingers for thanksgiving..... I look back and laugh, no regrets. You do what you gotta do to not go insane, The following year I was back in the saddle and did 15 sides, apps, and desserts. Giving yourself grace is so important.

We’ve done Bob Evans a couple of years in the past while dealing with family stress and illnesses. Thanksgiving is about being together to enjoy each other. Burgers, Bob Evans, Cracker Barrel, pizza…the food isn’t what’s important. Enjoying your family is. ❤️❤️❤️

Girlfriend I’ve been through several surgeries lately, missed Thanksgiving and so for Xmas I’ll be doing a pot roast with fixings with banana pudding and cookies. The kids said they would bring appetizers so that’s cool. At 70 years old it’s hard to give up traditions so you are helping me see it’s okay to go an easier route Bless you and continue to heal!

Beautiful house for vacation. You're right the Laundry room was phenomenal. The little back patio screened in porch was darling too. I’ve ordered a full Thanksgiving dinner through Bob Evans and loved it. Saved me so much time and effort. I added a favorite salad and homemade cranberry relish. It’s about family and togetherness, not slaving all day over a stove. You’re real life Jamerrill! I love that you chose this option! I did it because I was a full time caregiver for my husband and wasn’t able to shop for the many ingredients and so much time to prepare. This is what we do when we need to! God bless you and your sweet children! 💕🙏
You're doing a great job Jammerill ! Do whatever your heart tells you to do to make life easier. One suggestion, you should try those Earth Breeze laundry sheets. Work great a smell good too. Comes in the mail on a subscription however you set it up. It would save you from thinking about laundry soap.

Wow, you go, momma! I know it is so heart when your heart hurts. Just getting yourself dressed is an effort, but to take care of your children like you have done the last few months just shows what Jesus does through us. You are such an inspiration to others, not just women or mothers, but anyone whose life has thrown them a big old curve ball. Just stay in the game.
Recently I bought a bottle of mustsrd seeds. I always knew they were pretty small, but when I looked at those teeny tiny seeds, I thought that is all the faith God requires of us, and He will do the rest! I think that it is a fair deal to gain an eternity with Jesus in heaven!
May you and your children enjoy the spirit of the coming weeks of Christmas and the hope that the birth of our Savior has given us eternal salvation.

I live in Mississippi and we do a annual spring pilgrimage with all the antebellum homes, and we do a Christmas tour it’s always so pretty, see ing the kids dressed up brought back memories of my children participating,, thank you for sharing, I didn’t do any thanksgiving this year,, but that looked just fine in my book! I only live about 10 minutes from where you are. I live in Arendtsville PA right next to Gettysburg, the battlefield is absolutely amazing. If you get real quiet you can almost hear the men in the battle. Their blood is all over those grounds. So so many men died in that Gettysburg battle. I am literally 10 minutes away and I cannot believe you are this close.

Hey sweetie! So very glad you all got away for awhile. The parade and costumes were great. Glad the kiddos got to participate in the activities! Wow they have grown so fast! Yay! CB for the win. Love it! We did a similar thing one year when my mom was under the weather (who always put on a big feast). We ordered chicken from a local non-chain chicken place with all the fixins. It saved the day and we all seemed so much more relaxed without having to cook etc. Wishing you lots of sunshine pouring down on you. So glad you are trying to move forward.
