This year they had the 2nd/early stage at the beach which i think was really great for the bands and visitors, also the main stage was set up like 2nd stage used to be (so facing the building).
Tolmin is a great location, relentless weather, pristine river Soča that can be cold ASF and awesome concerts. You simply have to try it out even if takes you couple of thousand miles. And you will still love it!
I think ill go to it next year or 2025 from BC,Canada. I used to want to go to Wacken but id rather go to a smaller festival because i enjoy other metalheads but id rather be around a few thousand vs 20,000. I went to a small Death Metal festival in Tolberg, Netherlands back in 2010 ish, It was small and fun but it wasn't really a festival.
Although I had the idea to include some NWOBHM bands and some newer power metal acts on the lineup, somehow they didn't work well in the past. For the bigger heavy&power acts I'm afraid we don't have the budget.
@@dirtyskunks806 Thanks for the answer! I'd suggest Angus Mcsix if they're in your budget, reception live was great and I think they would fit well as the one oddball in the concept. Hopefully see you next year in beloved Tolmin!
@@dirtyskunks806 one or 2 more power / heavy is what i am missing as well... been a regular visitor since metalcamp 09 but as the years passed, less and less power and heavy were in the lineups. this year i couldn't attend but from what I heard and seen, great job guys! im really proud how you did this festival and hopefully i'll visit it next year. keep up the good work! kudos
No, no ferris wheel, and I don't think that would be a real added value in the valley there. I understand its use on a bigger festival like Hellfest or Graspop Metal Meeting. Just my opinion, though!

Great review, thankyou! Hopefully I can go to this awesome festival next year
You're welcome! I can only recommend it! Maybe I see you next year!

Oh absolutely! You should go there as well when you have the chance!

An interview that every promoter would say... Well, thanks for that 😂
That damn little road is really scary x)
I KNOW RIGHT! But they have improved it massively over the years. It's a little bit broader now, but my car brakes tend to heat up quite a lot.
But there is still not any ferris wheels, is there? :o

Which comment do you mean? 😁
