R.I.P Sonisphere, what a spiffy time that was. I remember one of the Iron Maiden show days Bruce Dickinson was flying a spitfire in a historic re-enactment of a WW2 dogfight mid afternoon over the fest site. It was such a great random thing at a festival, loved it.
Being from Belgium myself, I've been going to Graspop since 2006. It's one of the best (if not the best) organised festival ever, especially seeing it grow to the juggernaut it is today. Yeah, it's quite expensive but the quality you get in return is well worth it. Unfortunately IMO the line-up the last couple of years hasn't been that impressive anymore but it's one of those festivals once you've been there, you'll want to come back...
Another highlight (and my favorite festival in Belgium), you should check out is Alcatraz in Kortrijk. It's basically what GMM was 10 years ago, with some more extreme bands and even better atmosphere
I did 11 downloads and after the sham of 2016 I won't give them my money. Graspop looks awesome may be one for me next year

Here because of TPD, but staying and subbing - your chan is great! Deffo deserving of more subs. Me and my Mrs dont do bigger festivals anymore, so we live our metal festival life through you guys. Great Graspop vid, really funny stuff. Loved it
Your video, along with Billy's and TPD's, has really really made me want to go to Graspop, looked like you an had absolutely amazing time, the lineup is always amazing too (at least the past few years)
Also in reference to crowd surfers, I was down the front for Lamb of God at Bloodstock 22, and there was a shit ton of crowdsurfers, so we all kept an eye out, and let others around us know people were coming over, so it does happen, but that's one of two times I've seen it happen.
That Lamb of God gig looked brutal but it was so friendly at the front! We were all laughing and giggling whilst sorting the Crowd surfers!!!
But it was so fucking hot all weekend!

Hi guys . Dit you not see the Belgian beer bar . They have like 15 different beers . And right on the other side of it was the cider and wine bar . 🤘🤘
I’m a USA Friend of Mead & Metal and you and Billy Mayhem have totally made it a bucket list item to go to Graspop.

graspop tip:
if you are looking for more drink options, on the festival site there are some special bars. next to the north stage there is a belgian beer bar, which servers special types of beer. next to the south stage there is a cocktail bar, which serves some mixed drinks.
You guys need to do summerbreeze in Germany that festival is amazing and food is amazing and camping really good for medium size European festival it's definitely good organization is amazing the Security very reasonable and people are friendly too

Hey maybe you should visit the Summerbreeze open air in germany.
Its a nice an well organized festival with a bigger Alkohol selection. 😂
Its a little bit smaller but very nice and also very international.
If you ever want to come to Germany, think about the festival.
Mead and Metal are Positivity Gang, hell yeah

You guys missed the Belgian Beer bar with about 8 different kinds of beer and the Jim Beam bar where you could get bourbon and coke's, gin-tonics, mimosa's,... All expensive, but they were there on the festival site :)

Rotting Christ was definitely one of my top 2 pits of the festival, and I was at the front for Electric Callboy and i do not recommend it, as soon as they started playing the crowd surge was so intense i thought it was gonna be a crowd crush. Then immediately it was crowdsurfers every like 10 sec so you couldn’t headbang or dance because you had to be ready to shoulder press the next main character or else get kicked in the head with a surprise muddy boot

There is actualy a bacardi stand at graspop where you can get whiskey&coke and other alcohol drinks or in the belgium beer bar you can get other brands of beer.
Agree about Download. I had a my last Download in 2019…there is only so much 1 metal fan can take ! We go to Metal days now (Slovenia)

This year was my first time at Graspop and my 11th years in a row doing download. I agree Graspop puts download to absolute shame in everyway, will take a real good line up for me to ever consider doing download again. I really got my eyes opened.
As someone who saw electric callboy twice this year. Can confirm, you can’t sit for them. They are the most fun I’ve ever had at a show

My 3 Go To's are... Graspop, Hellfest, and Metal Days. One day Ill get to Gpop 1st from 🇺🇸. 🤘
So tbdm did have technical issues? i watched a graspop video and the singers voice was messed up or the mix was
imo graspop has become too large (and too Livenation), we either go to Alcatraz in Kortrijk (Belgium and a lot closer for UK people than Graspop) and/or Jera On Air (Holland). Highly recommend if 30+ :)

If you have a car stack up on beer in the town of Dessel. Been to Graspop alot of times and we always stack up with beer and booze in Germany

Nah man, this year was my 18th Download and it’s still my favouritest place on earth, LESS DOWNLOAD HATE! 😂
10000000% sonisphere was organised so much better. BOA is next but Download has always been poor. Food standards here are still the same as EU but U.K. van food has always been crap and we all accept it. That said it was better previously. Anyone remember the giant nacho bowls in a big tortilla. Headed for that at BOA and Soni every time lol.
For us it was the paella stand! No longer a thing but it was our fav!
i've been going at GMM for 3 years now, I didn't like the Marquee tent acustics for any band that I watched there
I love download but fucking hell! They have not innovated the experience much at all and I’ve been going since 2009. Love the bleachers idea. Jealous you got to see scorpions. Maybe it’s time to take a flight to a festival

The poor drink selection has been a bone of contention for years sadly they used to have a JD bar but that got replaced by Bacardi and in recent years Jim Beam 🤮🤮 they have had a Red Bull bar but it was removed this year god knows why

I refuse to give Download my money again. After 11 consecutive years, I was tired of having the piss taken out of me. Your Graspop video just goes to show what can be done if the organisers actually give a toss
My friend says that hellfest is just like graspop but bigger and if you make a video you may or may not get a lot of views which means you may or may not get money?
@JoshBaron666 We actually went to Hellfest back in 2014 and despite the heat wave, had a great time. It seems to have got A LOT more popular since then! Would love to go back though 😄
