Yes, Long Live the Syriac Church. However, the Bible teaches us how we are to pray to God. We can address God by his Name YHWH or by his other Names (Renowns, descriptions); such as: Father, LORD, God, etc. Praying in Yeshua's name is also supported. We don't see any formula where the Bible encourages us to pray to dead saints or to Mariam. I've also heard that praying to Mariam is witchcraft.

We believe her prayers for ""us"" are a strong fortress for us to remain faithful to her son . We dont pray to her. We ask her to intercede on our behalf to the one true God. Revelation mentions that the saints plead before the throne of God . We see Elijah and Moses at the mount of transfiguration, we see the dead man raise to life on touching the bones of Elisha, We see the people carrying the bones of Joseph after 400 years in exile meaning they preserved the tombs of their fathers. I can go on and on. All the saints and the holy mother point to the One True Savior. They radiate light through him and not by their merit. God Bless you.
