  • This week a a rare celestial occurrence took place: A supermoon (when the moon is at its closest point of orbit to Earth, making it appear about 14% larger) coincided with a total lunar eclipse. Some call it a “super blood wolf moon,” due to the reddish tint the moon takes on when fully eclipsed. The eclipse was visible across the entire U.S. for 62 minutes on Sunday night, as well as South America and parts of Europe and Africa. This combination happens roughly 20 times in a century.
What lessons can we glean from this cosmic event? The mystics teach that we are each a microcosm of the moon, and the moon's movements and cycles are reflected in our personal lives. What does this unique supermoon eclipse teach us about ourselves and our experiences and relationships?
Please join Rabbi Jacobson as he deciphers the personal, psychological and spiritual significance of the eclipse, and how it reveals the deeper meaning and the mysterious power contained in the "eclipses" in our own lives. Discover how the moon and its phases and cycles, its waxing and waning, eclipses and revelations can teach you to uncover your innermost strengths, and navigate the vicissitudes of your life.

This reminds me of the intention of the labyrinth - just keep walking, just keep trusting and holding faith and presence and you will arrive at the desired destination and have a fullness and wisdom that has been achieved from the trust and presence you allowed your self to experience along the way . It is only the belief that you are lost in a labyrinth that would allow you to be lost 🧠💭✨as is life.

"When your dignity is compromised, it's gone under cover, it's eclipsed but still present"
Cannot express how much I needed to hear this. After the vicious things a complete stranger has been doing, after being betrayed my family who were supposed to protect me...its been such a devastating year. I feel demoralized more often than not and I'm constantly breaking down.
My privacy was violently stripped away. Even in my room, where I-
Thank you for this! Makes me hopeful, my light was merely eclipsed but never annihilated. This gave me some sense of agency. It'll all work out, for the better, in the end.

It is tempting to try to substitute the feelings of lack, darkness and emptiness (eclipse), with memories of fullness and light (moon illuminated by the sun). However, this substitution even though it can be " helpful", it doesn't allow for growth. It merely reinstates " old" positive inner states.
Staying connected to the feelings of darkness and lack -and elaborating them correctly - brings NEW light that wasn't there before. Then, you're not just recreating an old and known positive state, but you're CREATING new light that wasn't there before.

What's hurt me the most is the denial of my suffering and experience. Not the experience but the sheer denial that something ever happened, the lies, the gaslighting..

I feel as there's a point of no return at least for a lifetime to the point you can only feel eclipsed emotions and the others you can't feel no matter how much you want to when someone does something out love that you know would make you happy, but you can't feel it anymore where the only place you can find peace is being completely alone.

Hi, I really appreciate the talks and Kabbalistic education provided here. I trie to study the tree of life and Kabbala for a while and I am still confused about the sephiroth locations... where from my perspective are the sephiroth located. Even the explanation on wikipedia is confusing, it says : Netzach is identified with our right (left leg or foot) when the Tree of Life is portrayed on the human form, while Hod is on our left (right leg or foot).
Anyway , I know it is a little off-topic but I don't know where to asked. It would be more than helpful to get a clear explanation maybe from Rabbi Simon Jacobson himself :) Thanks a lot !!!!

Your youtube videos have a wealth of ideas. Is the word "weakness" in this video's title the idea that you wanted to transmit here? It seems that you are talking more about external obstacles and disruptive experiences. Weakness implies more of a lack in an individual's state of being.

I was born into the Catholic faith and never did that much bible reading back then, because the priest does it for us and I am lazy. I only became interested in the bible after having these dreams that led me to the truth and I do understand what you are trying to say here about the moon story and why she complained about the two kings. It is funny because I always have this notion in my mind, "Who wants a king?" I don't know where is this coming from, even when I came to America, I was happy that people freed themselves from that British king George.
This subject made me think about "why am I having issues with kings?" It is like unresolved issues within me.
And I did dream about the full moon and it was so huge in my background. I was the ruler of this moon then my curiosity led me to earth that confused me as a prostitute.
like what it says in Isaiah 1:21
See how the faithful city has become a prostitute!
She once was full of justice; righteousness used to dwell in her-
    but now murderers!
This is probably what happened in Passover.

You know when people asked me about the killing of the firstborn and how cruel God is, my only response is, "If you think that is evil then why are you pro-abortion?" because the Egyptians back then only aborted first young male babies. I don't know why I am defensive sometimes and know all this. It is like I am awake but not fully awake.

This is what is wrong with your statement: You do not refer to anyone, whether he's a Rabbi or a man sleeping on a park bench as "Old Man."
Lev 19:32 Show respect to the aged.
I Tim 5:1-3 Appeal to an older man respectfully, as you would to your own father.
Job 12:12 Wisdom is with the aged.
Ham and Canaan were severely punished by G-d for showing disrespect to the righteous Noah. G-d takes disrespect very seriously.
Finally, I would remind you that we Christians derive our Christianity from the Jewish people, Judaism is our root. That being the case, we should take care to show respect and to avoid what Paul called 'boasting' against Israel simply because we have Jesus as our Saviour and Messiah.

By the way, I do not even consider Rabbi Jacobson as an old man!
But, here is how you could have expressed yourself:
Thankyou, Rabbi, for your profound teaching. However, as a Christian, I believe that we should avoid trusting in our own understanding but, instead, rely wholly upon Jesus for our eternal security.
Having said that, who is to say that Rabbi Jacobson is, actually, trusting in his own understanding, as you imply? I presume that he is trusting in the mercy of G-d, and, as Christians, we believe that the Jews will come to believe in the Messiahship of Jesus when G-d so chooses. Take care what you say, G-d is in all of this.
