Miracles have come for me when 1) I am sincere and desperate and praying, and 2) also when I imagine what i want coming to me, while allowing myself to receive it _with flowing gratitude._
I loved the flood story. As someone who has lived with lifelong depression (now 54 years old), I think that's about the best thing I've ever heard. Thank you. It's on the level of a lifeboat. I always had a life raft, which has kept me afloat, and which I feel I should share as well. A friend of mine died very young. She packed so much into her life (including bringing up a son single handed while studying for two degrees). It's almost as if she knew she didn't have much time. The last time I saw her, she knew she was dying but she hid it from me. I had the most wonderful day with her, and we laughed so much. She gave me a memento, just a little squeaky toy, and I said "What on earth is that for." "Just something to remember me by." She said, casually. Of course that squeaky toy is now a priceless memento. But it was one sentence she said to me that I have clung to for two decades. She said "All you can do in life is have adventures." For me life has always been something to endure, to suffer, to struggle through. But her words, when I take the trouble to remember them, can completely flip the picture, and for a moment, flip my life. R.I.P. Jackie, and I hope you're having the greatest adventure of all. I was an atheist 4 months ago, now I am a faithful man praying everyday regularly. I do know God or Angels performs miracles on me. I witness them regularly. I was an addict but in one day all changed. I am a happy man ( and a little shamed of my past crimes, Please god forgive my stupidity) and I try to learn more about life. What I can tell you is, be a good person and talk with God on your way. I am a Muslim elhamdulillah. But I learn stuff from a Rabbi, which is a miracle too in some way. :) I suggest you to learn from the faithful educated Muslims for other miracles too. May the god be with you guys. I was born a few years after the second world war but i was deeply saddened in regards to the holocaust .. and altho I could not change anything about that happening , the best way for me to keep all these people in my thoughts and prayers was to do acts of kindness and good deeds,. . Anyone suffering , someone should do a act of kindness and pray every single day for all those who are suffering.,
God does not force us. He can be the wind in our sails, but we must leave the port before He can point us in the right direction. I direct this energy by praying to God to use me for His glory. I've found when you ask God for a cup of water to give to someone else He'll give you an ocean. God's plans are such a perfect harmony with the universe He planned for everything to be at the right time and right place for everything to happen just so. There is no obstacle you must face alone because God is omnipresent. There is no obstacle you can't overcome because God is omnipowerful. There is no obstacle God didn't see coming and account for in His plan because God is omniscient. Know the nature to God and you will never know fear of anything, but God's judgment of your own choices.

If I had known the plans of the secret societies to bring the working man down, no matter how hard they push, I surely would have taken the risk and went to university first. Think is that it wasn't so when I made my decision but my educated father struggled for his life. I calculated that I could do the fortune in hard work as the salary was that of a minister.

So there is nothing I can do by changing attitude. I don't have money or health, nor time to get an university degree to get respected as a human. I am getting looks that could kill, while I did my due, I paid my taxes and literally worked my a** off.
You don't need a degree to be respected. In the end, it's an expensive piece of paper. The best people I've known didn't have one. Changing attitude is not easy. I'm having health issues that have left me weak. I can understand and empathize. With you. I'm not there yet either. But we are both listening to the Rabbi, that's enough for now, along with prayer.
Then came the EU and EURO. Houses cost 60 000 and the years salary was 60 000. But in just few years because of HUSSLERS The houses rocketed to 200 000! Salaries did not rocket to 200 000! Salaries were the same but all the prices rocketed because now it wasn't a goal of getting by and having good life but everyone had to get a ferrrari and seven houses and stack up money in account they never use. Then comes the inheritors that did not do ANYTHING FOR THE MONEY, but they drive with so expensive cars that the one you had worked for years to save was nothing, as there were young kids around you with more pocket money than I made from hard work as life had turned a struggle. Then I burned out and my spinal disk prolapsed and I lost my job and my LIFE SAVINGS WENT TO LIVING AS INSURANCE COMPANY TOOK YEARS TO FIGHT!
And on top of that my heritage and guaranteed managers job at family company was destroyed by 90´s deppression which was not a force of nature but caused by the same scheming money men that play their games at stock exchange, despite which I made a plan B to make it to "free man". Plan was to sell the house and either bying a new near a campus to make it possible to survive without taking 200 000 of student loan. So no, I'm not changing my attitude before the leader of mystics fill my vessels with oil I can sell, so to say. And pardon moi my tone.
I cannot survive without a miracle, and what wisdom I have self learned won't give me a tittle, so the wisdom stays and I take it to my grave without a physical miracle aka returning me what exchange husslers robbed from me, in cooperation with car salesmen that scammed me and generally the society becoming a dog eat dog world, society going all the sudden back to Roman empire where working man is a slave once more. So if I'm not bought free, If the mystics won't give me the oil, I'm doomed to wait for the death and hope I won't get punished but I am not doing anything anymore because I can't. The gathering together of one's own strength and abilities to manifest the strength in other's strengths and abilities through the shared direction of good faith comprehension and unidirectional flow towards a common end goal, done entirely through ways which cannot even be comprehended by those involved beyond the faith itself acting as an adhesive agent to humanity when and where it is required, notably in the instances where progression may lend itself to a revival of mistakes based of presupposition and the casual admittance of human err. Hit me pretty good with the hospital metaphor, exactly what i was thinking- good for the good from good expressed. There is a short video i remember seeing in which someone started dancing at an event and this triggered a cascade. Outside the rudimentary but not escaping the sinple, we can attempt to keep waves going. Huge organized demonstrations of shared political fervor is not a house of miracles as i would imagine them, but instead i think of one other video i saw of a hat. I have no idea how many times as i really only saw the success, but they tossed that hat all the way back to the person who dropped it by virtue of the collective action of people who felt amused by the notion of them being able to achieve this feat, by understanding what's happening somehow ...or maybe the miracle is my belief that that whole thing wasn't staged to make me belive human's cooperation levels exceed the requirements to operate as a unit without words and throw a hat around without someone catching it like a bouquet cause they didnt read the mango. Take living expenses and interests and you could pay the house in three to five years, but the work was hard. I worked hard, harder than anyone else to make it, but the house prices ran to the sky. Those guys got to sell the house for 300 000 and I was supposed by such. I could not. No I have nothing left but pension that is practically not even half of the income, I don't have a wife nor do I have money to go out to meet one. I'm screwed no matter how you put it. I need literally money, shekels, dollars, no word of encouragement.
