What temperature do you keep your room at to keep the water lily growing year round? Everything online says it needs 22c.
The temperature varies over the year between 22 - 25 Degrees..
Are you using peat moss? What does that do?
Why do you put the peat in the middle, not on the bottom ?

how do you keep the substrate so clean, I have pool filter sand and it looks so dirty from waste sitting on top
Just try Bladdersnails, Ramshorn and especially Malaysian Turbular Snails. They dig the ground like EarthWorms
.. and dont feed to much. The Food should not reach the ground.
I have many mulm on the substrate, it's excellent! 👍💚
