My Big Green cleaner started spewing water. Did a search, found your video, did exactly what you said, and now it works great! Thanks for being direct and to the point.
Thanks for video. I had part swapped out and back together in about 10-15 minutes. Great point about using paper towel or rag on hoses to prevent pliers from tearing hoses.
Thanks so much. Saved me the cost and a 50 mile trip to the nearest Bissell repair center. Fixed it with that part from Amazon, and the help of your video, in less than 1/2 hour.
Nice video, thank you. My flow indicator also started leaking after about maybe 25-30 hours of usage on a 4-year old machine. Bissell would happily replace it under warranty, but you have to take the unit to a service center; they won't just mail you the part. I ordered a replacement on eBay for $10 shipped rather than hassle with the service center option. Here's another tip - to clean the red pre-filter on the top of the unit, seen here at the beginning of the video, use a retracted plastic pen tip to push in the red plastic knob that holds the pre-filter in place, then lift it out and spray the pre-filter out in your kitchen sink. This will maintain full flow of gray water through the machine. The pre-filter can be replaced; the part and rubber gasket run about $3 from Bissell or elsewhere. This machine is a tank but the flow indicator is its Achilles heel.
Thank u for this comment, bc I didn’t know wth was going on with my machine when it all of a sudden mid cleaning it started leaking, I was like “OMG ARE U FREAKING KIDDING ME”🙄🤦🏻♀️
Thanks for this. I left mine in my garage before a trip and it turned 5 deg out. Oops. Helped me figure out how to get that cover off. Lucky I just got bye with the flow indicator cracking. I think.
Good video, showing step by step. I replaced the flow indicator, now there is a leak coming from the bottom. Looks like the solution is being drained? Went into it further and not able to tell if any of the hoses may have gotten pulled off, all seem to be on that I can see. Any idea why this is happening?
Have a question here... I have a the Bissell Big Green Machine 86T3 Series and I'm replacing the flow indicator with that $10 Amazon part. After removing the old part but before I installed the new one I tested the part by blowing into the inlet of the flow indicator and the wheel disk did not move at all. As I was blowing I could feel the air escaping from the outlet side so I know there isn't any blockage between the inlet & outlet but the wheel disk wasn't moving compared to the old part that was in the machine. When I blew into the old part the wheel disk immediately started spinning with ease and it also spun by me sucking thru the outlet. So now I'm not sure if the old part is bad or not. And I'm not sure if the new one is faulty. Is the wheel suppose to spin when air is blown in the inlet? Thanks in advance.
My unit is not spraying. I came on here to see if there were any videos about that. I took some of the stuff off the bottom and checked some of the hoses. Until I saw this video though, I did not know for sure how to take that panel off. Any advice on where the blockage might be happening would be great. At first the flow indicator did not work, now the flow indicator is working, but still no spray.
Why did you replace the part, was the machine releasing way too much soapy water? I went through a full tank very quickly yesterday and I have no clue what’s wrong.
@AdamsTechReviews i see. We have opposite problems then! If I have cleaning solution inside my unit it sprays the entire time regardless of the trigger
Could you please let me know what is the name of the part. In case I order from Amazon. Or if you please put the link would be much better. Thank you for this great video. Cheers
My indicator is not leaking at the indicator. Yet it slowly rotates when the trigger is NOT being squeezed. Causing a steady light spray/stream/leak like the trigger is a tad stuck. What do you think I can do ? I bought this in October brand new. I contacted Bissell and they said they will make it right..but I'll be without machine. So wondering if I can troubleshoot and fix myself.
I have also read/heard, that problems in these machines can occur (with leaking) if hot water is used (apparently it breaks down sensitive glues in some parts; thus recommended to use luke warm at best!) I think Bissell (if there is a generic problem) should use better wearing parts in where identified (brass fitting), machine is expensive enough!
Glad this video is helping. Do me a favor please like and subscribe if this helped!
Thank you so much!! You saved me from buying a new machine! BISSELL website wants you to call them for repair which I’m sure isn’t cheap!
Thanks! The manual doesn't even show the part number so I appreciated this so much. It all works again! Yay!
I like to think of myself as a pretty hand lady - this video made this an E-A-S-Y fix! Thanks for being direct and to the point.

Thank you!!! Direct and to the point! I was able to do this by myself! 63 yr old female that is not super good with tools 😃
Ordered my new flow indicator 5 minutes ago from Amazon. You are correct. $10. Such a simple fix.
Excellent video, after 7 years of heavy use I almost reordered a new unit. Glad I found this. I couldn't figure out the screws until I watched this!

Thanks for keeping it brief and to the point. A similar video lasted 15 min. Who has time for that?! Thank You!!!
Thank you for this vid. A local store had the flow indicator. I was able to replace in 1/2 hour.
Thank you SO much. No one would repair my machine and this made it so easy for me to do it myself!
Thanks made my repair so easy could not figure out how to take apart so easy when you know what to do
It was an easy fix and worked great!! So thankful not to have the repair or replacement cost!! Thanks so much!!
Thank you for making this video! Totally saved our machine!
Mine just blew. Thank you for taking the time to make this.
Great tutorial! Straight to the point.
Thank you I fixed mine in 20 minutes. Great video 🙂
Thanks for the video! My flow indicator started leaking today and now I know how to replace it!

Short and to the point! thank you! We don't need a 30 minute prelude on your problem.. lol
Thanks! I ended up epoxying the top/bottom halves of the flow indicator back together - I can then still use hot water.
Thanks for this. I left mine in my garage before a trip and it turned 5 deg out. Oops. Helped me figure out how to get that cover off.
Lucky I just got bye with the flow indicator cracking. I think.
Your video worked for me, too. Much appreciated!
Just fixed mine. Thanks for the help!
Thanks. Give me the confident to fix it myself
Thank you, this helped me so much!
got her done, should keep an eye on the clamps to make sure they dont slide down into the housing when taking the tubes off
Thank you, you made my repair really easy
That did the trick. Thanks.

Hello, I have the same problem. The solution back flowing from the suction side were you able to correct or find the problem?
DUDE!! THANK YOU!!!!
Didn’t have to watch more than 0:51. Thank you.
Thanks!
Thank you. I appreciate that!

Thank you
thank you!
Water is not coming out when I pull the finger lever while shampooing. Any advice is appreciated.

Will this keep the machine from spraying if this part is leaking?
Good shit right here
@adamtechreviews what the new link to the part ?
The motor on my machine stopped working after a few min of the water spraying out. Any tips on how to save it?
Would this problem cause the unit to spray from the sprayer continuously if its not fixed?
Mine sprays even without the triggered being pulled
Mine wouldnt spray at all until I got this fixed

there is a link in the description
@@AdamsReviews Thanks
The link no longer works
Do you have a new one that I can order
The part link is not working…
I unscrewed the engine casing but still can’t get it off. You make it look so easy to pop off. What am I doing wrong?
Never mind. Forgot two screws. Geez!!
It’s not leaking water. It’s not spinning at all. Any suggestions?
Do u know how to take off the suction component on the hose

Ho so you get the screw off on the front
mine doesn't have it it's connected straight through
In Canada due to Covid the part is 95$ at Amazon.
Getting the darn hoses off was worst part. I'm a 60yo female and other than that, easy peasy.
I did this and it is still leaking. Any ideas?
Sorry I do not know. maybe the hose itself is bad?
Thank you!!!!
Will this leaking component keep the machine from spraying?
