@@charlesmaersk5235," proud pilipinos" yes we are, proud of our race, hypocrites, no, we are aware of what going on, but we got to make the best of what we got. PEACE AND LOVE to you from a pilipino.
This is one of many reasons why your channel has become one of my favorites on UA-cam after I found it just a couple of weeks ago. Thank you for showing us the grittier side of your travel adventures, and for not shying away from the harsh realities of some of the places you've visited. Learning about what Atmosphere's soup kitchen does for the kids, and watching you play with them, is so heartwarming. You're a good dude, Gareth. As always, I'm grateful for you and your incredible content. One of my favorite videos of yours, for sure!
A thousand thumbs up for taking us away from the beaches and mountains for a chance to show us today the soup kitchen for children in the Philippines, but also show us in past travels things such as Active Hearts in the aftermath of the earthquake in Nepal, to helping children in Ecuador, to dancing with orphans at an orphanage in Peru on Christmas day.
I love it you let your viewers see the luxury and the other side of the town. One thing I can say about the kids in the Philippines they always appreciate what they have.
Moments like these will be remembered by the kids for the rest of their lives. It's so nice of you to take time and spend time with them. I love your videos as you immerse yourself with the culture and mingle with the locals.
The real reason your video is cut above the others is your choice of subject matter and the knowledgeable guides who showed you where to find those meaningful footages. You presented the subject to the viewers and you didn't present yourself as the subject to be viewed, unlike most Phil travel bloggers I've seen. Hat's off to you, from a new subscriber.
what you said that Gareth 'presented the subject to the viewers and you didn't present yourself as the subject to be viewed' is profound. Gareth is that.
"There's nothing wrong to stay in a resort but it is important to be aware of what's in the other side", wise words Gareth 😊. I hope everyone will mind this. Being comfortable in a resort could be boring after sometimes :)
I admire you Sir for showing the other side of Dumaguete specifically. Not only part of Dumaguete had been experiencing poverty but also in remote areas. Help street children using this vlog for awareness and advocate that poverty is not the hindrance to make your dreams come true. Thanks Sir.
The other side of vlogging. Thanks man for helping out the kids and doing kind things to the less fortunate. Foreigners like you are welcome to comeback in our country.
You have got the touch of a Filipino way of Life. Your video got the balance of simplicity and being human as well. Love your videos and you truly touch People, which I guess is the most important thing in life.
I started watching your First Day in Manila and then went chronologically through all your videos so far. It is now just past midnight; I have to work early tomorrow and I can't turn off my computer. You're a wonderful storyteller. Love that you're loving the Philippines.
There's really something that touched my heart when I started watching your videos. I can feel your sincerity and it naturally jumps from your character to be felt by us - your audience. Thanks for these clips, thanks for sharing with us your love for people.
I love this video. There's no sugar coating the hard life yet I loved it as a kid. Playing with other kids, sharing the food, and walking home were all part of my childhood in the Philippines. I enjoyed watching the kids in their classroom. It brought back fond memories. Thank you!
Thank you for giving the children happiness for just a couple of hrs.and that moment will give then smile in there every days life until they'll grownups.i hope you enjoy ur time with them, again thank you.
It’s wonderful to see and know that you’re not only there for the good parts and am deeply touched on your inter action with the locals and the kids there. I’m sure you made their day. Kudos to you sir
I just watched 4 of your Philippine videos one after the other! Got hooked on them very easily! Thank you for highlighting the Philippines. You have reminded me that my motherland’s richness and strengths are quite to behold. Although you did highlight her poverty and weaknesses in the same videos, these all translated as part of her beauty. How? Because I ( and I’m sure many of you viewers) saw things through your eyes, through your narration and through the positive energy, goodness and compassion that you bring in you videos. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Keep being you!
It's a comfort to know when a well traveled man visit a country like the PI he enjoys the finer things in life, like taking the time for the children who appreciate it the most, thanks.
Really, truly admire you for going out of your way - out of what most consider their comfort zone - to not only see both sides of a city, but also to have a direct interaction with its people. You're awesome!
This is a great video, most especially the visit to the kids, they were happy having someone pay a visit to them and the playful moments, it's just so nice! Another outstanding video. Silvanas are thin layers of meringue (egg whites) filled with buttercream & rolled in cake crumbs. So good. Gareth... I haven’t seen an authentic Farmers Market for a long long time more than 20 years now with all those local commodities. It must be an experience of a lifetime. Looking at it, it feels like I am watching from a black and white Philippines cinema of the 1930s or 40s. Cool!

As a filipino who's been away from my country for 6 years, I'd rather see this kind of vlogs were you show a glimpse of how locals live their daily lives, It's a reminder for us, it brings us back to reality. that we all should be grateful for what we have and take life one day at a time an just enjoy our the moment. this brings me back home, the simplicity of life, and how filipinos always smile no matter what. Thanks Gareth and Bless you for showing the world what the Philippines is all about.
Thank you for choosing the Philippines in your travel vlog, I salute you for being kind hearted & nice to the fellow filipino people. More power to your channel. Mabuhay ka Gareth. May God showers his blessings to you. Two thumbs up 👌👌👍👍👏
New subscriber here. Thanks for featuring our beautiful country. I love how you vlog with a purpose and a mission. You're intelligence comes across in your vlogs and that set you apart. Keep it up and hope you reach 1M subscribers!
Awesome vlog bro! To be honest this is the most amazing video so far for me... As you have said beyond the walls of a luxury resort, beyond the beautiful beaches and sights...there are real beauty to be discovered through the local people, culture and just their way of life. Inspiring to see how you reach out to those kids...will do the same when we get here this May 😄 we cant wait!
Thank you Gareth for your informative and enjoyable vlogs like this one! Good point about not only enjoying the nice places but also being aware of the other side, the many locals' simple and poor lives. The children surely appreciated your sharing good time with them. You made me laugh when you said the silvanas are filled with slabs of butter, hahahh! At least they are more organic local ingredients, hopefully! Did you give the rest of them to the kids, as it didn't look like your companions were not very interested either? Enjoy your travels there. Great work on the videos, looking professional.
Awesome videos man! It's so cool man that you show the deeper side of the Island and you probably made a difference on those kids life in your own way. Thank you!
Most of the vlogs are more of the tourist destinations, yours is beyond them...showcasing what it is to live a normal life in the Philippines (country side) away from the busy cities! it's like i am viewing documentaries!hahaha more videos to come man!enjoy and take care!
Thank you for featuring The province of my birth, Negros. This brings back countless memories of family road trips to dumaguete when I was young. October is almost here I hope you'll get to stay long enough to check out Bacolod city and it's Masskara Festival
wow..i was hooked watching your japan travel , but now i'm really glad i subscribed years ago. Always patient, humble and sincere. Thanks for sharing the other side of the Philippines. Safe travels. Try Piyaya also, Silvanas = small sans rival. Originally they don't use flour/graham...they use ground cashew as flour base

Thanks for dropping by in our place, Dumaguete.
As a filipino who's been away from my country for 6 years, I'd rather see this kind of vlogs were you show a glimpse of how
locals live their daily lives, It's a reminder for us, it brings us back to reality. that we all should be grateful for what we have
and take life one day at a time an just enjoy our the moment. this brings me back home, the simplicity of life, and how filipinos
always smile no matter what.

I really love this vlog so far.....more interesting place....love it
You have such a sweet way with the kids!
Nice and God Bless! Enjoy life!
Love it. Love to see the real human side of the places. 👍👍👍
Deserves WAY MORE Views, WAY MORE Likes & just WAY MORE Love than it’s getting! Resplendent piece. 🙏🏽♥️🙏🏽
Thank you!
Amazing you, traveling with purpose ,vlogger with a heart.
Thanks for your curiosity and appreciation about Philippines.
bless your soul, man!... you are a good person!
Very touching vlog. Thank you of what you’ve done. It’s very much appreciated man!
Most of the vlogs are more of the tourist destinations, yours is beyond them...showcasing what it is to live a normal life in the Philippines (country side) away from the busy cities! it's like i am viewing documentaries!hahaha more videos to come man!enjoy and take care!

Try Piyaya also, Silvanas = small sans rival. Originally they don't use flour/graham...they use ground cashew as flour base
