What a badass Street Rod ! Can u imagine the 1930s on those 100°days , no airco , no ventilation , no insulation, slits for windows. Bet it got pretty ripe on that bus ! Thanx ! enjoyed it !
I hear ya...mine would be shinny...but I love a nice Rat Rod...I love different...and well done..... just because it is different doesn't make it cool...this is cool!
I "love" when stuff like this gets preserved. If even one gets through like this it saves a part of our history. How many modern day cars will be around in 100 years?
Lol these things are becoming very poplar ! Did you see the one from texas ? Broke my car but still had a great time with you and all my buddys " The hotrod hill gang!" They ribbed me a little then helped me push the Beast into the trailer! Even had people we didnt know help us push it. Hot rodders are the greatest!
Yeah, The font doesn't look authentic for a government vehicle. They would of been stenciled in lacquer back then with a brush. Thinking about it, it looks like it could of been a hippie bus by the style of lettering. One can only guess.
Why did you put it outside to rust? I have worked for a very old car restoration expert, and I am talking of the first two decades of cars in England and Germany and France, where the valve gear was EXTERNAL and he worked towards perfection in engine body and interior seats and if there is any then all the usually leather seats and wouldn’t dream of letting anything rust. Have you put some kind of coating over the rust?
I'm not really into the whole "Rat Rod" rusted patina thing but I gotta admit this thing is so f'ing cool!!! I love '32 Hot Rods but I prefer mine custom painted and chromed out, I never really understood why someone after putting that much time, money and work into a totally mind blowing custom build would just let it rust even more! Now I do really dig seeing primered and pinstriped Rods like they were built in the '50s and '60s though! Nonetheless it's still a totally bitchin' ride!!!
ScottieDTV if you havent already you should make it down to Cruisin' the Coast in October on the MS Gulf Coast. One full week with over 10k cars of all varieties. I should have an older video in my youtube vids of a montage of just a sample of what can be seen there. Check it out. It is right up your alley.
It took me a few videos to remember you were madbads buddy, I had subbed you with the channel I had at the time he did that promotion for you but lost that channel, I just subbed again
