i’ve watched dozens of hours of watercolor videos....this was MESMERIZING! thank you, i truly believe it takes knowledge, experience and tremendous confidence to paint this way. obviously, you have these and much more-your eye for color is incredible. I especially love your soft background. thank you for painting and teaching. very gifted indeed!
Kevin’s love of Andrew Wyeth has been communicated over many many years and now we have this great video to consolidate my mutual love and learning of this remarkable artist in so many forms. Patsy
G'day Robin Practise, fail, practise fail better and practise again. Bits of goodness will arrive and flourish,,,,,,with practise and nicking ideas off artists you like, food. OK Cheers Practise again.
I also appreciate the use of a good raggedy, manky brush. In a condition arrived at through much painting. Milton Resnick used wonderfully thrashed brushes. One shouldn't abuse ones brushes, although neither do they need to be treated as such precious objects. Thanks for taking the time to share your process, cheers
G'day Miroporvos I buy cheap non nylon so called house painting brushes and cut into them with a blade until distressed, hence manky. I do look after my sables as such. Anything to make marks,,,,,,, enjoy
I just love Andrew Wyeth’s work.....his first show I believe he sold everything! I like how fast you work and how all those colors blend so well, it makes the painting more interesting. Never have seen that scruffy looking brush before.....it’s pretty cool! Glad I found you and looking forward to more of your tutorials.....Cheers🤗🌹
Very technical artists, who don't get to "Oooo and ahhh" over their work, like you did when you hit below the houses with that orange...they are missing out! I struggle with that sometimes. Thanks for inspiring me to be bold in my painting!
G'day Liz Be the eternal child and enjoy what happens when you let go, beautiful and liberating. What is a mistake, nothing to write home about. Practise and fail a bit, practise and fail a little better. Nick ideas off art you like, and slowly slowly confidence will come, joyful Cheers
If I were teaching I would do what you are doing. Put the picture of the artist they like and scene next to each other then go at it. That is brilliant and simple.
G'day Eottoe Thanks. Seemed logical to me, though that is how I demonstrate when I had classes before lockdown. Show work of artist talking about and nick ideas from them, and practise practise practise. More videos soon Cheers
Stunning approach to create natural form, wonderful textures and suggestions of shapes that draw you into the painting. I think I'm getting too caught up in detail, must get loose and raggedy on next one!
I think if the camera was more above the paper, there would be less selection on the wet paper. Although you are thorough on explaining the colors you are using, I think it would be helpful in seeing the strokes and how they interact. Blessings.
G'day Brad Thanks for the comments. A lot more like this coming soon. I don't do vid editing. Editor film maker involved in last bit of Uni work. Cheers
G'day Matt Yes, coming soon. I don't do the editing. Editor involved in last flurry at Uni, then free. I have done 4 more Wyeth videos at present, loose and dry brush etc demos. Seems folks like them I nicked ideas off Wyeth, Hopper, Homer and others teaching myself moons ago, love them though I no longer paint as I used to. I still much enjoy demoing them. Cheers
Your the first artist I’ve watched that never tests his colors before applying them. Great style. Thanks
G'day Charles Thanks for comments. More videos soon,,,ish. Cheers

Love the sound effects! You make it look easy! Thank you
love the painting method with sound effects !!!
Thank you for emphasizing your brush handling in this lesson. Pushing and pulling bold marks, twisting the brush are what I need to practice.

Thank you. I try to show some of Wyeth's methods and discuss with some clarity. Cheers Jill
He sounds like a kid playing with Star Wars toys or something. X-Wing laser sound effects.
G'day rvrmn Go with the flow and it all comes out,,,,,with a smile on the dial,,,, Cheers
Very dramatic.
Thanks for comment, cheers
your sound effects are unnecessary and just stupid - Andrew Wyeth would be embarrassed
Have you ever heard Wyeth's mischievous laugh and speaking about art. Wyeth would have approved 100%, OKEEDOKKEEEE Mate
Beautiful!!
