@@lred86 they used names of athletes and put a twist on the old joke of a guy named who, who plays first and a coach trying to figure out who’s playing first.
Old ones were way better but the bit has been running for a long time so the brainstorm sessions gotta be rough. Best ones were the two saquon's and the who's on first remix.
I'm from Australia so that is my excuse for not understanding this, but could somebody please explain to me what those terms mean or are referring to (from 4.40 to 5.00). Thanking you in advance.
Since the presentation froze, Jared Goff decided to "call an audible," which in American football means an on-the-spot change from the original play call. The things he was yelling signal various plays that the offense would run instead. I would guess only the LA Rams offense knows what the heck he's talking about here.
@@bbart609 Thanks for that. He does say "Siakam" and then a basketball throw....so I thought he was referring to Pascal Siakam and "shoot".....anyway I appreciate your input :-)
PaulZ Savage there’s a decent chance that’s actually a reference. Most audibles are easy to memorize items combined with a symbol that makes sense. But the reference probably doesn’t extend farther than just a memory device
Siakam is definitely a Pascal Siakim reference. Right after that, he says "Tacko Fall" who's another NBA player. I don't know what the first few were, however.
0:45 Watched the whole thing thinking Becky Lynch was Kimmy Schmidt (Ellie Kemper) and that was Jane Krakowski behind her. BTW, ESPN does Wrestling now? Is that surreal? What's next, quidditch or hoverboard racing?

Hello, the new Manny Machado commercial is flawed-November 11th is the date on it at the beginning, but he didn’t sign with the Padres til February 21. Obviously the whole thing is fictional, but just thought I’d give you a heads up.
I love how the mascots are just casually walking around doing random things in the background.
I loved the “Bol on line 1” one...
Paying homage to the classic who’s on first what’s on second and idk is on third
That's the only good one. The rest were horrible.
@Job That bit came WAY before rush hour 3.
Yu on 2
Watt on 3
3:31 the best one. priceless
That spin on who’s on first probably went over a lot of peoples heads.
Help me understand it
@@lred86 they used names of athletes and put a twist on the old joke of a guy named who, who plays first and a coach trying to figure out who’s playing first.
Legit I want to work at the espn office.
I used to love the old this is sportscenter commercials, they were hilarious. I only laughed to 2 of those. the old ones were way better.
Because political correctness isnt funny
Maybe you’ve changed
The Becky ones were just garbage. I dont who she is but they were fucking dumb
@@usffan5775 no, political incorrectness isn't.
they really weren't, sure it was funny, but far from better.
That one with all of the children in it ... that's a condom commercial.
*Becky pushes over the Rutgers mascot* That’s what you get for joining the Big Ten!
Exactly lol
Old ones were way better but the bit has been running for a long time so the brainstorm sessions gotta be rough. Best ones were the two saquon's and the who's on first remix.
That Becky Lynch one would've been better if it was the Rock
or Mandy Rose
Lmfao! Good job espn, finally some quality material!
The first ones with Brooks is the best
0:13 Spotted Wally! ^^
I'm so glad these are being made again.

Oh 0:49 Becky!!!!😂😂😂😂😂
I happy they brought they brought this back
Espn has some of the best commercials 🤣
Not great, but I’m just so glad they’re back.
Seeing the mascot for my alma mater Rutgers in a lot of these

The Scarlet Knight did not deserve that.
Oh look it's " The Man '
I only came for THE MAN
THIRD BASE!
The old ones were way better, but these are pretty ok.

Colin Jensen there was one with Stone Cold Steve Austin back then
not the same without dan patrick, charley steiner, etc
I dont think they were trying too hard on some of these. Not as good as the old days...
1:45
1:28 clever, 'cause they don't actually throw punches.
I think that one was inspired by the old wrestling segment where Kane punched out the window on a claw machine to help a kid get a prize

Sad there's like 1 good one

So
Not good at all. Old ones were way better
Probably would be funny if I knew who Becky was.
These aren't the same
i came here for becky lynch.
The ones with the wwe chick were beyond cringe
Used to be good. Only a couple hits more misses. Played out.
came for becky lynch
Wow... Those commercials totally suck. I can't believe ESPN approved any of them. They are horrible. Every single one of them.
I WANT TO MEET LINDA KOHN ( ʘ _ ʘ )
Compared to the originals.... these are awful
Agree. They've lost the wit they had.
Boring
WWE isn't sports.
I hate this ad so much, I cant even express how much I hate it
I bet golf was in the old way I wou,d laughed because at least if funny than this piece of oof
Wow Becky is horrible
