Honestly surprised how much of this I understood - I’m Canadian, and am old enough to have been taught Québécois French in school (it wasn’t an “option” as it is now). I would’ve said before now that I barely remember anything from French class, but clearly that’s not the case. You make yours the exact same way my childhood best friend’s mum always did - her mother’s parents were Haitian, so I must ask…is this a uniquely Haitian recipe? I’ve honestly never found it made using this particular recipe before, despite many many hours of fruitless searching online. I still wasn’t sure until I made it, but the moment I tasted it…oh yes!! THAT is the taste - took me right back to my childhood! Thank you so much for the English subtitles & measurements. This video is greatly appreciated ❤
