I'm not a big country fan but Brad Paisley is definitely a good songwriter and a decent artist. Now he's got me wanting to go listen this song I was hoping that they would actually play it on here or at least a clip of it. Come on CNN get on the ball we're talking music here and an important song.

That's a very bold move by Brad Paisley, being a country star and effectively speaking out against Russia, a country Republicans are embracing more and more. It's funny how everyone is acting surprised that he'd do that project. Seriously, how short are people's memories? President Zelenskyy has a 20 year media career under his belt. He not only sang on his comedy show but also wrote some of the songs himself / in collaboration with other writers. There's an interview with his wife where she tells this little anecdote about him always having been dependable and pulling things through: apparently she and a team of writers were supposed to write the next song and somehow couldn't come up with something good (their songs always had political meanings, so it had to be written in response to current political events). So at 10pm and still no song for the next day, Zelenskyy sent everyone home, took the half-finished song, pulled an all-nighter and finished it himself.
I'm not surprised at all he did this project and actually gave creative input. I hope he had a bit of fun doing it and it gave him a minute to have a smile on his face.
