Thanks for the video. This is the best video out for beginners using this. Wish I would of watch this before going out and trying to figure it by myself.
@@brnowak_fishing Yes I absolutely love it still learning how to use it and learning more about what's happening below my feet. This does have a big boy price tag but is well worth the investment.
how much does it cost to get everything to run the panoptix are parts sold separately or is it an all in 1 unit if sold separately what are the different parts u need to buy
When I'm fishing, I actually run it vertically and it gives me a wider cone angle - approximately 5-15 feet either side of the whole depending on depth. The benefit of forward viewing is to find fish while drilling less holes. This way, I drill a hole - scan 60-100' in a circle, spot fish 50' out and go drill the hole on top of them rather than drilling 15 holes
To find where the fish are. You can pop holes every 60 feet or so and scan around. If no fish move over until you locate the fish then you pop hole right over the school of fish
For the record though I must say that I am against this technology, I feel they have taken fish sonar technology too far. This technology along with the growing numbers of people fishing will certainly ruin all lakes. But of course they’ll blame it on something else like global warming.
@@brnowak_fishing good I just ordered one with out know much about them, after watching this video I thought what a pain in the ass it would be to have to set that every time I switched it on. Thanks man.
DUDEEE same. I got mine on black Friday well just the ducer bc i already had an 93sv but I'm so excited and then this storm just hit the northeast and fricked all our ice. 55 degree weather and 3 to 4 inches of rain...smh
@@brnowak_fishing awesome! another one, sorry for asking so many questions but what battery do you use to supply the screen and the ducer? the one that comes with the bundle? I think its a 12ah, and how much run time do you usually get with a full charge? I'm building my ice bundle bc i purchased everything at different times, I might buy 2 cabelas batteries and have one for the ducer and one for the screen. should be around the same run time. since the cabelas one is 8.0 ah. But not sure about really any of it!! haha
mike bush Put your jig down the hole with auto medium, then adjust the gain up from there until it shows your jig. You may need to spin the transducer a bit to get it lined up, but it should show it without issue
Awesome man. Really great break down of the settings.
BassGeek thank you man! I appreciate that!
*Looks good even in daylight **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it was exactly what it was described to be , works awesome , overall happy with product*

Great video just order my Panoptix this week super excited to use it soon.

Panoptix vs livescope , main difference clarity ?
how much does it cost to get everything to run the panoptix are parts sold separately or is it an all in 1 unit if sold separately what are the different parts u need to buy
Could the traditional ice cone transducer work at the same time with the Panoptix?
Yes
No
Awesome and thank you for the great video! Is there anyway to remove the history on the left side of the screen?
My question is how big a hole through the ice will that fit through will a 6 inch hold do it or do you need an 8-inch hole
It’ll fit through a 6” hole no issue
Given the fact that when ice fishing, we are fishing vertically through a 6 or 8 inch hole, what is the advantage of forward looking imaging?

The best advantage to this that I could see would be for searching for schools of perch out on a larger sand flat such as Lake Winnibigoshish

over harvest is only a problem in a small percentage of lakes across our Great Nation. It can be dealt with at the local level.
Great vid Ben! Love panoptix on my boat! Are you on the Garmin team?
Yeah, Panoptix is amazing! Yeah, I work with them
i already have the garmin 93sv with the panoptix option. what do i need to get it on the ice??
How do you get down view to scan both ways? Mine only scans one detection like it’s stuck in forward view. I adjusted Trans but it stays in forward.
Me too
So do you have to reset the your setting every time you turn it off?
Not anymore. They fixed this with the update a couple years ago thankfully

How do I get my garmin 93sv panoptix chirp to do the vertical mode
It only shows it on Demonstrat
Go into the settings and make sure that your transducer is set to automatically switch
can hardly wait to get mine out on the ice
It’s amazing! I’m sure you’re gonna love it

Jeff Zabriskie yeah, Ice was so good last weekend and now I’m staring at open water again! Like, what the heck!
@@brnowak_fishing ITS THE NORM HERE.. no real ice till after the new year..

Thanks for watching!
@@brnowak_fishing what unit is this?
Ben do you use this unit on your boat ? Or could you ?
I used to but don’t anymore. You absolutely can go from ice to boat with this setup
@@brnowak_fishing in this video Ben which model is this ? The 73CV ?
Yessir!
Ben quick question. Can you use the Quickdraw mapping feature with the panoptix ducer?
Yes, you definitely can, it’s awesome too because you get to see all the little detailed changes on the map

Me externally: Shaking head in agreement
Me internally: I've never seen a lake freeze...I have no idea what's going on here.
Haha you on ice would certainly be a sight to see
@@brnowak_fishing Gotta love it!
Ben, you really need to get Alex on hard water!! He definitely has the beard for some serious icicles! LoL
@Brett Miller that's what they keep telling me. Need to try it out sometime.
LOL
my small jig disappears at about 40 ft i dont think panoptixs is good fof deep ice jigging .The unit will show fish deep but not your jig

Hey mike bush I noticed the same with my unit. Did you eventually find a solution for this?
I love this technology and I don't even ice fish!
Right!? It’s amazing! And to think that LiveScope would be even more precise. Technology amazes me
