Stayed here before in 2019. Room and location is sweet: lot of eateries and shopping centers. 2 additional perks: 1. 15 minute drive to Universal Studios. If planning on visiting Universal, recommend using this place. 2. Pet friendly Agree with Chris on the con: had to depend on valet parking
Love the review! I stayed at this hotel last November. The location is so good (for what I wanted to do/see). I actually took the bus and MetroLink quite a bit.
GREAT REVIEW Chris ! I stayed there last December and have a couple of observations to share: Make sure you ask for a room on a high floor facing north. It's much quieter than the south side facing the street, plus you get a fantastic view of the mountains ! I don't recommend the valet parking. It's $25 per night and I'm pretty sure they park next door in the same $15/day covered lot mentioned in the video. Lastly, one thing I don't like about Hyatt hotels is that they provide a mini fridge but never a small microwave. I drove from Lancaster, so I brought with me my own small microwave !
I requested a microwave when I stayed at the Grand Hyatt San Diego and they took it up to my room for no extra charge. I’m sure many hotels would do the same if they’re available.
Hi Chris. Enjoyed the latest Spunky Princess video. Looks like she had so much fun there. Very nice and spacious room. Pretty nice view too. I thought the bathroom looked a little small. The parking garage looked a little sketchy too. Thanks for sharing and take care.
That looks like a very nice hotel! It's too bad that it is rather far away from all the major sights. It works out well as you said if you have business in the immediate area.
Thanks for the recommendation jbone. Probably unlikely though as I live fairly close to Newport Beach so I'm unlikely to end up staying in the hotel there
It's also close to the original Porto's Bakery.. it's smaller compared to the new Bakery's they are building but I still have a sweet spot for this location 💕
Hi Chris, we used to love Hyatt Place but realized their windows don’t open at all typically. We find that dangerous if there’s any type of fire and also during covid that we couldn’t open windows for fresh outside air. I actually called many of them (both newer and older) and was shocked none of them have windows that open unless once in a while they have 2-3 rooms with a balcony. Thought you’d like to know as this is something we didn’t realize until after staying at a few for several weeks at a time.
Don't need permission to share your opinion about something. Just don't be obnoxious about filming in the public spaces. And if they ask you to stop filming then do so

Thanks Castie. Great tips. Especially on the bring your own microwave 😉

Can you do more videos on Glendale?
Hi Alexander. I'll add that suggestion to my list!
Com’ on, be honest Chris, you stayed at that hotel because it’s next door to an In-N-Out Burger joint. 🍔 😀
Thanks for a great review.
You caught me! 😉
How about Burbank, what do you recommend there?
Glendale is right next to Burbank. I'd stay at this hotel if I was going to Burbank

Glendale was great to visit, really enjoyed the Galleria and the In n Out was very good too!
Definitely Martin!
Can you do the Renaissance hotel in Newport Beach please?
Thanks for the recommendation jbone. Probably unlikely though as I live fairly close to Newport Beach so I'm unlikely to end up staying in the hotel there
Have you ever been to Northern Ireland yet
Not yet!

Thanks Heather -- unfortunately this seems to be the case of many new hotels. I don't like it either.
Grandpa Richard needs a bathtub.
Chris, did you visit the obligatory Porto’s bakery? (I think it’s nearby) hehe
I sure did! :)
Hi Chris why don't you stay at smaller hotels? I personally like them better than the big chain hotels since they're significantly cheaper (:
Hi Gumer -- that sounds like a topic for a live stream. Why I like to stay at big chain hotels 😉
Do I need to ask permission to make a video review of hotels?
