    As always a very good video! Love those oil Mac's ! Would love to see a review on the Mac 610- 650 series of saw. Any chance of you doing one?

      Eventually, going to graft a useful bar onto this one first. Have some other stuff as well.

    The carb is it only adjustable on the low?

    • @afleetcommand
      @afleetcommand  6 місяців тому

      No it has both high and low. Since the carb is mounted "vertically" one is on top of the other, lowest is "low speed", upper a conventional high speed :)

    I just pulled one from the trash! It has great compression but missing top air filter cover and pulley cover plan to get it running regardless. Curious do you know how to date them? Mine looks exactly like yours. And did yours run when you got it or did you rebuild carb?

      Could be a fun project, think I need to explore some of the vintage saws again. In between log jobs so hobby comes back

    I have a PM 610 sitting in my shop. I got it running a year or so ago, but it is to heavy to do much with it. I also have an XL-12 but don’t use it for the same reason. If I want to cut something I grab my Stihl 021 or 024. If I need some real grunt I grab my MS 260 Pro or my 026 Pro. After toting all those boat anchors you usually tote the Pro MAC probably feels light but it ain’t. Mine weighs 21.25# and my Homelite weighs 20#, go figure.

    It “seems like” a prime candidate for a Donny Walker treatment. That brand is what the Walker family earned their reputation with.
