I stayed at the Taj Lake Palace and found it to be mediocre. The rooms were musty and the service was fine but not wow. Udaivilas, Leela Palace and the new Raffles Udaipur are much better.
Ram Bagh.... You enter a different world as soon as you enter in the main gate..... I don't know how they managed it but this hotel is beyond imagination. It's one of the World most expensive hotels so, has to be #1 in India for sure.

All hotels in the list are good but In my opinion no hotel / palace can beat The Khyber Himalayan , Gulmarg , Kashmir. Best location and I would rate it no.1. Minimum Room tariff INR 50K and goes upto INR 3.5 L per night
