David the receptionist at the front desk seemed rude by not looking at you when you were talking with her…Eye contact is one of the most important ways to show your customers that you are listening, interested, and respectful. Avoiding eye contact can make you seem uninterested and very unprofessional…she definitely needs to be retrained…

I stayed there last summer with my kids we had two interconnected rooms and I really loved it. We had an excellent customer service experience. And we stayed in Queens suite. You did a great review of it showing us the details of it. Thanks for bringing me the memories back

I'm a hotelier and worked forMarriott, I have done end number of check in and checkouts but trust me the guest relation lady was just escorting him and the bell desk guy was doing her job. I hope the front office manager sees this video and will get to know who is doing the real job. This guy definitely need to be promoted.

There is a need for management to review their standards here because having these amenities are of no use if your staff isn't proactive in welcoming guests. As seen in the video, none of the staff is proactively approaching the guest to address his concerns.In such an excellent hotel, I am surprised at how relaxed and laid back all the staff seemed to be; something you would not expect to find at such a place.
Meanwhile Taj hotel employees, they just make you sit in their lavish waiting lounge, ask you for your ids and voucher, and while you are sipping your delicious welcome drink, you handed over your keys with a dedicated person to guide you around to your room and amenities. Taj anytime

The luggage boy needs a raise ! Very respectful and responsive. The others were less than robots , with high attitudes . Working in 5 star hotels doesn't makes you a high sttatus person , you're still a labour learn to respect people!

Mashima, the receptionist, left a lot to be desired. Her training is not up to a luxury hotel standard and her bearing, uniform and general appearance wasn’t upto standard. I was very surprised to see the staff at the hotel 😮

Yeah man I am 100 percent with you . The hotel property is awesome , certainly for this not so high price. But the receptionists shown have dont-care attitude . Generally it’s very welcoming but not sure but May be some serious training/ company issue happening here. Have an awesome stay in Kolkata . Do visit northern parts of India if possible especially , sikkim, Arunachal pradesh, meghalaya 👍✌️

The check in zone in general didn't live up to the hype. Not even a sit down check in, impersonal and freezing cold.

Yeah man I am 100 percent with you . The hotel property is awesome , certainly for this not so high price. But the receptionists shown have dont-care attitude . Generally it’s very welcoming but not sure but May be some serious training/ company issue happening here.

That's right bro, frequently i visit resturant of this hotel so i need not face the reception but i saw them how cold they can be. The ladies section is really blunt but gents are usually very smart and descent.

ভাই উনি ভারতের একটা অংশ ভেবে এসেছে আর যখন ভারতের মানচিত্রের দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি থেকে আমরা দেখছি তখন কলকাতা এবং বাংলা অনেক ছোট একটা অঞ্চল ঠিক আছে উনি একটা অঞ্চল ভেবে এসেছে এখন মনে করেন যদি কেউ কেরালায় যায় তখন সে শুধুমাত্র কেরালার মেইন জায়গা গুলো ঘুরবে সব জায়গায় সে জানবে না তাই না
প্রত্যেকটা জায়গায় সে ঐতিহ্য বুঝবে না সে শুধুমাত্র ভারতের একটা অংশ ভেবে এসেছে সে তো বাংলার ঐতিহ্য জানবে না তাই না তাকে তো নতুন করে বোঝাতে হবে সেরকম হলে।।
