Such an exceptional release indeed, thank you for doing it justice. I found it was not too far remote from its sweeter sibling Bapteme du Feu, another gem perfectly suited to the end-of-year season.
I have this one and damn its amazing! I am compelled to wear this one, its almost boozy, its dark and broody and almost a chocolate covered orange peel note in there. (The devils bedsheets)

I ordered a 50 ml of La Couche du Diable. The discounter sent a 100ml instead. Awesome. I enjoy this one. Actually, I've enjoyed a number of Uncle Serge's recent releases. I to just blind buy Uncle Serge also Marc. Happy Holidays.

I kinda got a Christmas vibe from Baptême. This sounds good but wondering if it crossed paths. Mostly impressed at your purchase price of arabie. That one is a gold mine!!
Very nice! I gave up on Uncle Serge years ago after getting the one's I wanted, and discovering a lot of their other fragrances were misses to my nose. I pretty much ignored them for a 5+ years, but finally got around to sniffing them out in 2021 and bought another bottle. I'll have to check this one out. Cheers!

I've not had the chance of testing any SL fragrances. On a side note, how the heck do you keep so many bottles from going bad over so many years. My last collection of about a dozen bottles went bad after about 7 years
Ohh man, I was talking with friend in last few days like why is no one talking about Serge Lutens anymore it's literally niche as niche can get and to me and my nose quality is on par with Amouage while being more affordable. Where I live niche parfumeries are selling Manceras, Tizianas, Creed, Sospiros and similar but Serge Lutens as if it never existed and nobody talks about it any more. Thanks for spreading the word out, I just looked at Fragrantica people compare it with Fille en Aiguilles and if that's true I am sure I'd be huge fan. I think there is no Serge Lutens that I don't like yet. What you say about people not mentioning Lutens on channels and being paid makes a lot of sense, what bothers me why did whole world go in wrong direction? :) I remember the time when we were talking like ohh La Nuit by YSL is not original enough not bold and unique or something like that.. What would I give, if I could walk in again to perfumery and La Nuit was the most boring fragrance on shelf :) We didn't appreciate what we had is what I mean :)
Yes sadly because of the limited distribution of the brand especially in the States and of course marketing made the brand take a back seat within our community.
I don't correlate this to SN tbh, as for the website it's shut down. It's a warehouse that opens a site once and a while. I may advertise it if they ever open that site again.
Bought this one 100 ml first of the year and 100 ml Santal majuscule last year and immediately got both atomizers stuck inside the cap & nothing seems to get em out I was even careful with the la couche lol. Have you ever dealt with this issue?

I do need to sniff my Bapteme bottle more, I really reach for the old staples from Serge in my collection. I really need to sniff the newer ones.

Got my sample in today. On first spray it smelled like an extremely dark beer, but after a minute it finds its groove and is just incredible!

Blind bought it! Apparently the 50ml and 100ml bottles are out of production. It only comes in the bell jar from now on and I hate those.
I am the same. When someone mentions niche perfumery. My first thought, the initial image in my mind is the classic Serge Lutens 50 ml bottle.

This one can get pretty challenging. The labdanum comes out as almost tomato paste on my skin. It sounds bad but I actually really like it 😂

That sounds terrible to have a full collection go bad. Proper storage works but it's a game of luck as well. When they go bad, they go bad.
