    I 've been treated for cancer since February. No energy or motivation to do anything. Between your video , Shane and Pauly's I've been getting up and out playing in the creek and mud. Thanks. It's the best I've felt in years. Words really can't describe. Randy Ray. Morganton, Ga. Best place on earth. Or close.

    Just beautiful Dan. The crystals look like they're part of an ice glacier inside a cave but on a mini scale and some of them are so gemmy clear! Absolutely beautiful!

    *Never mind the 'cultivated odd persona'...it seriously gives me the 'chuckles' over the tiny specimens you have, because I have THOUSANDS in my yards...many of which are over fifty-pounds of 'pure' calcites...and fluorite specimens as well that are 'just something for me to look-at in the side-yard off the kitchen' and of course...perhaps 4 or 5-hundred lbs.of 'Fluorspar' as well...all of which I collected 'freebie'*

    Dan,
    Those are some awesome quartz specimens. Looks like they, green ones, may have some petrol left behind. See if they fluoresce in long wave UV-A.
    The yellow looks like the stuff around our area which is mostly iron and sulfur diffused in calcite for that shimmer of gold look.

    • @Danhurd
      @Danhurd  5 років тому

      I think you're right - it was sulfur

    • @Mark_Nadams
      @Mark_Nadams 5 років тому

      More than one has been fooled by this type of deposit. The sulfur makes it yellow and the iron makes the rock heavy. There are two failed gold mines by us that were based on finds of that nature. We have a mica mixed in for the glitter effect. To make it even more convincing we also have occasional iron pyrite crystals. It's all very convincing to the untrained eye. " 'Til next one " Thanks for the fun Dan.

I want to see you take one of these rocks out of the acid and have nuggets just fall off the rock. Do that so I can be thoroughly amazed by you. Ha Ha.
