Excellent! Thanks for the lesson & if I ever find a Model 80 then I will snatch it up if possible. We did miss you but understand the priorities that are necessary to get done. Mrs. says "Hello" and I like the hat! : } See ya' next time . . .
@@harryhoward3064 It a cool reel, definitely has a bit of a learning curve but still very fun to use.. I’m thinking about just selling everything and driving around the country fishing, camping, biking, motorcycling, full time.. 32 years at one company is long enough!! 😂 Tell Miss Sophia Hey!! I like the hat too!! 🤠
@@ddselvig The one I got from you was really nice as well, until it and the rod popped out of the rod holder on the golf cart and took a dive onto the gravel road.. but it still works great. 😊
Have you ever seen a Johnson Model 40 sidewinder ? I bought one off eBay almost mint condition and have found no videos or reviews on the 40 . Do you happen to know how it differs from the model 80 ? Thanks any info appreciated like line capacity or what pound test line it accepts.
@@RobertHicks007 Hey there, Im sorry to say, I’ve never owned one. I have seen them in the antique stores but of course they were asking way too much so they stayed there. The model 80 is the only one I’ve owned to this point. I do have a friend that has owned them and knows quite a bit about them as well. I’ll talk with him and see if I can get him to fill you in on the Model 40.. now you’ve got my interest peaked as well.. 😁
@ Also FYI last I checked Ebay is flooded with the model 40 for $20-30 Price range . I picked mine up for $19 + shipping I don'tknow if thats a good price range for these guys just sharing ,
That may be my new favorite reel of yours. Really cool looking. The hat is very nice!
@@oldmanoldtruck It’s fancy and plenty fun to use.. I’ll bring it with me when I come see you this spring/summer!! 🤠as well as the hat!! 😉
