Perfect video Ron! You’ve showcased a great bunch of perfect records. Can’t argue any of your selections. Sooo happy to see you recognize Avalon. I think Avalon is probably my all time favorite single disc record if I had to choose one. I continue to really enjoy your videos Ron. Thank you for taking the time to entertain us with quality record talk!
always great when you find people who have mostly the same music taste, so many great albums I didn´t check out jet, but now have listended to them all and many I will buy now Thanks for the great video
I watch a lot of these videos as well and I can never find any records that I like. I watch the video I listen to a lot of their choices and I'm like that's just not for me. Glad you were able to find some great records. I tried to put some records in that don't get enough love that aren't the obvious choices.
when it comes to UA-cam vids, this is a monumental achievement, Ron. No really, in all seriousness, I enjoyed this video and in particular your choices for perfect albums. Thanks, dude (Big Lebowski reference)
I didn't do the obvious choices of course there was a a few I had to include but tried to show some different records that are great. Thanks so much for leaving such encouraging commentary most appreciated. ❤️
Hey Ron. When I spotted that Hip D4N sitting there, in your pile…instant sub for me. That was a tough one to get before the reissues, indeed . Mrs. B-side found it and surprised me for Xmas, Love that girl. Keep em spinning.🍻
I own most of these lps and could not agree with you more. Need to get more Tragically Hip. Keep it up, Ron. You have been on my top ten list for a long time.
Love your Japanese pressing Ron especially Band on the run original too!. You have featured great LP's.Rush is my favourite Canadian Band and Guess Who.
Thank you very much Yes I learned the hard way you need the original Japan press they sound very good Thanks for watching so glad you enjoyed the video
First time watching one of your videos. Enjoyed it very much. I will have to check out Hawkwind. Never heard of them. For people who aren’t familiar with Tragically Hip they really need to check them out. An incredibly good band. Unfortunately their main man Gord Downey passed away awhile back. Thanks a lot.
Thank you very much for subscribing to the channel so happy you're enjoying the videos I have over 200 videos that are all jam-packed with a lot of information have fun and thanks for watching. Make sure to comment on the videos you're watching and give me your commentary and critique please 😊
this week I received a 1st pressing of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. It is an early Matrix: A-3/B-2, second label. It really sounds amazing! A record that is 50 years old.
Great Pick with that Robin Trower album saw him in the mid 70’s when the album was peaking. Outstanding 3 piece Blues Band. He was the opening act followed by B. B. King then Muddy Waters. If my memory serves me right it was at the Academy of Music in Manhattan N.Y. Keep up the good work.
@@RocknRonni I’m just happy you mentioned Trower. I feel like he’s not nearly as recognized as he deserves. Even Bridge of Sighs never went platinum, and that’s his biggest record.
@@AndDeathForAll82 yeah even though I've talked about bridge of sighs many times it had to be included one of my favorite all-time records like I said a masterpiece for your commentary much appreciated. ❤️
Great video. Thanks. Today, I just got The Nightfly in a Japanese 1982 pressing. Great album. And good sound on the Japanese pressing. Better on the 1982 US original? Br from Denmark
so glad you showcased Porcupine Tree and Robin Trower. BTW the latest Porcupine Tree album is worth checking out. As for your Rush choice i think many would agree but just recently i think Signals is my preferred choice (just). But i have no doubt i will be in the minority as there is no doubt Moving Pictures is an amazing album. Enjoyed your choices Ron and thanks for posting.
There's a lot of records that can qualify for this topic but I just wanted to show some different records that I normally don't show Plus a couple that just have to be included like Robin trower
You mention Porcupine Tree which at its head has Steven Wilson, a very influential person in music ( yet virtually unknown) and part of the groups like No Man and Blackfields, never mind his extensive solo work and work for other groups in remastering old tapes and now doing a lot of Atmos mixes. Steven Wilson is the most famous unknown person in music!
Steve Wilson is well known in record collecting circles but in the general population most people have no idea about anything good quite frankly. just listen to the kind of music they listen to lol. Thank you so much for your most enlightened commentary very much appreciated ❤️
Thanks Ron! I compared the Moving picture DMM and the OG. the OG blew the DMM in my opinion. Sold the DMM. Another sonically fantastic Rush is Farewell to Kings. Got the UK OG. It is incredible. 😮
Your 1st Canadian Moving Pictures likely has the 'RL' stamped on both sides. All the RL pressings sound fantastic! I have a 1st Dutch pressing with the double RL and it sounds amazing! Wow! All this time and I've never really listened to The Tragically Hip. Just checked out the album you showed and I REALLY like it! Very moody and well arranged, love that first song Grace, Too! I'm downloading their discography now, thanks! 😊 Robin Trower, Yeah Baby! 👍 One of THE very best! And Bridge of Sighs is indeed one of THE most outstanding records of all time. I have the 1st UK pressings of his first 4 albums, they sound much better than the 1st US pressings. DAMN good stuff! I have almost the entire Porcupine Tree Discography in FLAC. The only vinyl album I have by them is the Steve Wilson produced 2017 German pressing of Up the Downstair.
Wow you have a lot of amazing records a lot of great pressings and a lot of great music. so happy to turn you on to the tragically hip they are fantastic fully completely is one of my favorite records. Then road apples. My kids know all the songs by heart I played the CD so much in the car. Thanks brother always always enjoy reading your commentary most appreciated ❤️
It's the music from a game I play. elder scrolls online. Yeah I really like it and because there's no vocals so you don't get strike for the music in the video 😊
Great to see you again Ron! How have you been keeping? I love Rush and Moving Pictures is a gem of an album! Animals is one of my favourite Floyd albums too! Hope you are well brother! Peace and love! :)
I am well thanks for asking. I have been playing a little bit too much elder scrolls online not listening to music getting in the video game mode. I always appreciate your comments my friend ❤
@@RocknRonni Glad you're keeping well my friend! 💗That's super cool I didn't know you were a gamer! I haven't played elder scrolls but heard it's an awesome game! I know what you mean about getting in game mode haha the time just flies away! Great to hear from you brother! :)💗
When you buy the original pressings they are fantastic!! most people have only bought reissues and the reissues are a little bright sounding and little bass shy like most reissues would be. I have a video where I compared a UK original to a Japan original to a new digital remaster of David Bowie diamond dogs and the Japanese original was the best sounding version.
I know what you mean I've never wanted a John Lennon record myself but I like Paul McCartney music is like an opinion it's not right or wrong it's just different. Thanks so much for watching, and thanks for your commentary much appreciated ❤
Oh my goodness. If someone thinks Wings made a perfect record, i am not interested in anything else they have to say. A perfect record is Tea for the Tillerman or Harvest or Rubber Soul.
Neil Young and the Beatles made a lot of great records I don't know why you don't like the songs on this Paul McCartney record. But thanks so much for watching I hope you like the rest of my picks. I tried not to pick the obvious records on this video. trying to show other records in my collection.

The hip doesn’t get to much love in the VC. Nice to see their album. As always love your videos.
Thanks Tony yeah the hip is a great band one of my favorites Thanks again Tony for your continued support much appreciated.
Wonderful selection, Ron! There's three on your list I don't own but definitely need to add to my collection!
Thanks, Ron. That was a fun video. I still need to get me a copy of “Nightfly“.
Hi Ron. As always, you showed some great records. It's always fun to peek into your collection. You have a very cool copy of Band on the Run. ♥️
Thank you Melinda for you continued support and encouraging words as always thank you. 😊
Great picks, have most all of them also and the Japanese release. Great albums.

Wasn’t Moving Pictures mixed digitally at Le Studio? Still awesome either way. My favorite is the Netherlands pressing.

You must of paid a small fortune 😳
@@1999zrx1100 I paid something around 300 euro. It's not a solid blue triangle, but a 2nd label, from the same matrix as a solid blue triangle.

Hey Ron! Watching you from Sweden today. Have to check out The Tragically Hip! But animals never clicked for me. So many other PF classics…
Yeah trying not to show records I've shown previously in the last year or so.
Hope you have a blast in Sweden Thanks for watching 😊
