I agree with you 100%. I'm not a musician but I am very careful with My Music Collection. I have all of My CD's in order which is easier for them to find and sadly enough what Bleek lost he can't replace. I bet he paid some serious change for some of the Music he had and now it's a wreck. Also did the Thugs trash his home. I know some of you may not agree with me but I feel that this is largely Giant's Fault. If Giant hadn't gambled so heavily, if he didn't take advantage of Bleek's Friendship with him, maybe this wouldn't have happened. Even Bleek called him on it. I bet Bleek did alot for Giant especially with School and the like. Bleek's home was so beautiful and then it was a mess.
This scene reminds me of the Thundercat song, them changes. Dude having a flashback about playing the piano and wakes up as an armless amputee, truly heartbreaking.
I really feel that Bleek's Relationship with his Mother affected him more than he realized. She was domineering, bossy, the "Man" of that House and his Father just sat there and watched and never said anything. It was like he was scared of his own wife. Then he had to "control" things with Indigo and Clarke because he couldn't "control" what happened with his Mother.
You're correct in part about the domineering mother, but Bleek's issues with women wasn't because his father was weak and intimidated by her....he was just too lenient, and too occupied with the sport of baseball. Usually it's the women who spoil their sons by trying to protecting them from over-domineering fathers...in Bleek's household, and being an only child, it was his dad who bonded with him as his savior and protector. Ironically enough, it brought them to a strong father-son relationship that is crucial to masculine maturity, especially in an African-American family unit and especially during that period in history. As we see later in the film, Bleak and his dad still enjoy their relationship and they do it via baseball...something they both enjoyed. Also note that, for whatever reason, Bleek's mom is gone from the adult portion of his life in the film...never seen or mentioned again.
@@garyaugustus690You are right. It reminds me of My Cousin. His Mother ran that house like a "Bawse". His Father never said anything because he didn't want to argue with his wife. Did someone go into Bleek's House and rip it apart. Poor Guy, and sadly enough it was Gianto who was indirectly responsible for this.

This was a hurtful scene, though.

Why has no one put the scene where Bleek asks Indigo to save his life.

"GOOD BYE PORK PIE HAT" BY:CHARLES MINGUS
Theme for Lester Young
matter of fact hes playin the background music from this scene;-)
So in the end, do you think Bleek was happy
Partially. He settled and never reached his full potential. This is a fear of mine.

Doreen Henderson u too young 2 be angry...*lol*
No! Doreen He didn't deserve that . He couldn't play that was hell
This man nearly lost his mind because he couldn't play anymore. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. To be born to do something and not be able to do it.
You sound like a bitter angry lady. Why would you wish this on someone? You need love or a hug
who knows the song playing in the background ?
