fun fact. the subway cars were a gift from east germany in the 80s when they bought new ones.. they used to drive under berlin
Mat S actually the exact same ones are still used in Munich. The now have newer ones too, but the mostly still use this exact same design.
I come from Berlin, and I instantly felt like home - it`s still the same design :)

Zero commercial advertisement is good indeed. I remember, in Sweden there's zero commercial advertisement on TV as well.Anyway, North Korea deserves more tourists coming in to see the nation as it is, as it was labeled 'most harmonious nation' in the world; especially with the decades-old U.S. and Western sanctions which caused over a million N. Lots of infrastructure and buildings, but.... few people or life. It seems almost like a ghost town in some places, even mid-day.
Most of those buildings are empty. With a lot of residential buildings but you don't see old people or young kid freely roaming around. Thus most of them are dark from inside. The subway look nice but the tourists are only allowed in 2 stations..... What other country tourists are not allowed to talk to ordinary citizen ! ! ?? The whole thing is staged and they did not a very good job with that.
pyongyang is a very spread out city. it has alot of people but they are not usually concentrated in one area at one time. north korea's population also took a massive hit when the US blockaded north korea after the fall of the USSR and they suddenly could not feed their country for a few years, even today the government tries to squeeze as much food out of the limited farmland available in the country as they can and they still can't quite get to everyone.
Better than Americans and western people wo went on kill everyone on streets with their gun. In north korea people are safe and tensionless life
tsay chin China builds projects in other countries, entire cities, no one decides to live there
Yeah they should be over populated and congested to the point of not being about to go anywhere . GENIUS, they would have giant flashing billboards for McDonald’s too
That puppy is a first pet ever I have seen any North Korean video! WOW!
And I have asked many times that where are all the animals.. Pets and natural ones? Because usually you don't even hear birds singing.
The dog was probably that person's next meal.
Food for the people only. Bird is food and a is very expensive to clean bird poop off their GODs status / mural .
It is their emergency food supply.
Most likely its dinners
What do you expect in a city of three millions?
This subway was actually built by Chinese and Russian equipment and engineers. But the North Koreans never mentioned this to the world.
R u Chinese..??
Chinese fake agent keep away with them
They also didn't mention that the trains were running in Berlin before
It's no surprise really, the first thing I thought of when I watched this video is how reminiscent that Metro is to the Moscow underground.

@@nadia1994ization In Oxford you get coachloads of Chinese tourists fishing cameras/iPhones out and pointing them right in the faces of beggars, then snapping local landmarks. They do this all at the same time in tidy groups. It really is very odd...
Apparently they wanted to see an archetypical English village so the coach to Bicester Village (where they *really* want to go - there are Chinese websites devoted to the place) stopped in humble Kidlington (nice enough but hardly a place of note) and they all got off and started photographing the place. Almost 75 years old here and I very much enjoyed your videos on this most interesting trip! I was fortunate to live along enough to see the unification of Germany and the fall of the Iron Curtain and I have long hoped to see a peaceful unification of the two Koreas. The subway in North Korea looks like a old fashioned subway though, it's hard to imagine the subway in Paris.

A little fun fact about the Pyongyang Metro trains.
These trains, as seen in this video, were manufactured and used for public transport in West Berlin between 1955-1965. After this series was eventually exchanged for newer and more modern trains, the BVG (Berlin Public Transport) decided to sell the discarded trains to North Korea in the late 1990's. ^^
