California is always leading the way, including infrastructure, for the benefit of its residents. Well done.
Leading the way into poverty
@how_to_hallagon1 Hahaha... ignorant and vapid comment.
I live in California since 1969. What mega project 😂. Took 2 decades just to build a 1 mile underground lite rail in SF. Been waiting for the HSR for 3 decades now.
Good thing that useless HSR never gets built.
Note, use that waste money to improve public transportation statewide3
@@commentorsilensor3734 Newsflash: HSR is a statewide public transportation improvement project. Want to see a real waste of money? Futilely building more lanes of freeway that immediately induce more traffic, leading to the need for even more lanes of freeway.
@blakeclark5898 HSR without state of the art public transportation in major cities is waste of money. HSR must couple major metropolitan area with high population density or it is waste of money.
Oh don't forget without good public transportation, there is still need to build couple lanes of freeway for car lovers oh I mean train lovers like you to get to train stations.
HSR is very very very expensive. It's mission impossible to make money, but it has to serve 80 million annual ride to make intangible benefits. Or some Chinese got frustrated with over building HSR come up this number, 7000 riders per km per day. Ignoring state of art public transportation in local area does not know the meaning of transportation.
They could modernize HWY 5 for a fraction of the cost of those HSR to no where
@@commentorsilensor3734The two major cities that will be connected with the HSR do have extensive public transit systems with LA Metro and BART. San Diego also has a growing light rail system.
This is old news, out of date in 2024. You actually pronounced a few words correctly.
You need to learn the names of places before you start talking. You misprounced San Joaquin, Klamath, and Santa Clara. I am a second-generation Californian. I lived there most of my life until we moved to Northern Oregon to get our children away from the gang mentality.
I think it's a robot Lol
@DefensisIndus
Probably, but they need to train it how to speak before they turn it loose. Lol.
I'm a resident of California and I remember in 2008 they told us voters the budget for high speed rail was going to be $500,000,000 dollars. A half a billion. Not $33 billion. That was part of the bill of goods they sold us for the proposition.
Unbelievable. At 9 minutes 29 seconds, you can see a guy lifting the subway entrance to bypass paying! Why CA does not put barrier to keep non-payers at of the rail systems is beyond me! At 12 minutes 43 seconds, they discuss the LAX People Mover project which is not $2.25 Billion, but actually $3.36 Billion. Think about it. Three thousand three hundred thirty six million dollars. For a tram. That is not even underground. Huge bloated budgets, missed deadlines and constantly going over a gigantic budget to begin with, are almost as problematic as the failure of leadership in all of our agencies. No one ever loses their jobs in leadership for preceding over this mess. And despite giving most agencies virtually unlimited amounts of money, they keep wanting to raise taxes and come back for even more money. The projects are noble, but the lack of accountability in California is breathtaking.
👍❤
The last project is actually mind blowing! Great video again 👍
Thank you sir! I can tell you’re a loyal viewer of the channel ✅✅
Califirnia can not even solve it's homeless Problem.
It’s getting better.much better than the pandemic days. And the only reason why there are so many homeless is cause Cali still offers a lot of opportunities
Easily solved. We can send them to Texas and Florida to thank them for all the immigrants they've sent us.
Merced to Bakersfield is a critical link to the high speed rail project? It's actually the cheapest segment. Once it is in place, the state will have more leverage to get the money for the expensive (mountainous) segments in order to complete the project.
GI can hardly wait to drink the toilet water of California because it got some new water treatment plant.
My bed gave a new sum is it gonna be getting any that?
Whatever they build will end up ultimately homeless shelter……welcome to CA…
If you really think all CA is full of homeless, you are totally WRONG, but no surprise of MAGAS hate towards CA. CA is a great place to live.
CA HSR is not happening. Stop pretending it is.
Just like for Brightline west, there are zero efficient and easy feeder networks that people will tolerate to get to the main stations for either.
I already calculated going from my home I studio city using all possible options including these.
HSR and BLW both were hours longer than taking one’s own car or flying, including the usual nasty traffic, delays and wait times. Plus, who wants to go to Vegas and not have a car to get around??
Who TF in LA county wants to go to Rancho Cucamunga for any reason?
NO ONE is going to ride these if they ever do happen. The estimates of ridership are from bureaucrats who know nothing of what residents are willing to go through to get around.
Waste of money per usual, California.
Get a better computer voice. This one doesn’t have a clue.
Learn how to pronounce the things you talk about!
LAX sucks
BETTER hope you don't need help from Trump's boys. for environmental needs.
Hi what does this mean?
