With VR googles disabled people (Or those that can't dive for other reasons) will be able to experience diving, while scientists and companies can dive with a humanoid in depths a human can't dive. Great idea!
Even though I'm only 41, I'm starting to realize that I'll miss on a lot of neat (and hopefully positive) things in the near future. Listening to him at 7:15, you can tell that he knows that too.

I think its because the human body is really efficient with its anatomy, so to make a robot efficient for the use of helping humans- it makes sense to imitate the body of a human
It'll be controlled by humans, that's why it's better for its shape to be similar to that of a human. It's way easier to control hands that are just like yours.
Oh shoot, this has some sub mechaniphobia vibes. Being bright and soft helps but the eyes do look a little unsettling. This dude swimming up to you at dolphin like speed and totally crushing your esophagus with its graspers
Super cool, but does seem like a big waste of money trying to fit the components into a human shape, though this probably helped them get more funding so idk.
Ok, every robot researchers out there in every university/workshop/studio... Get a designer to actually draw how the robot should look like. Most just look terrible.TY
This is so cool! I feel like it’s going to allow us to discover so much more ☺️
The pressure compensation solution with the oil is a genius idea.

This is something you would think is only possible in a film or game. What a time to be alive!
Would be cool to see tech like this eventually replace high-risk jobs like saturation diving
Ele tá sempre sorrindo falando sobre o robô, tão fofo
Tbh this needs more exposure because this is so cool
Awesome it's a great design love that robot design
I didn't know Mark Zuckerberg was into scuba.
😂😂😂
It's Elon's baby.
Stop 😂😂😂
Zing!
Well, technically not SCUBA (Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus)since the robot has an umbilical 🤷🏻♀️
Never thought a robot would take my job 😅😂

This is awesome!
Amazing! This is the same material that was developed for James Cameron's dive to the Mariana Trench 👏🏻
Look the world's most advance Muppets. I'd know that control setup anywhere
👍for advancing robotics.
Zima blue in the making.
I was thinking that too bruhhh

Woah.
Good for Rescue...
Can we have those glasses for gaming?👀
i dont understand why they wouldnt add cameras in the back of it to see all degree of the robot concisidering its probably so expensive
Very Nice Bro! Get Good People!
i still dont get why we want to make robots look human rather than just build them so they're efficient at the job
I think its because the human body is really efficient with its anatomy, so to make a robot efficient for the use of helping humans- it makes sense to imitate the body of a human
Underwater robots usually freak me out.
This continues that trend.
Yeah but WHY does it need to look like a person an not a more just as effective outer casing

And now we can't even hide in the water
This is cool! But it looks creepy 😂
Af 😬😱
There's waldo!

no way they're controlled with novint falcons lol
But why?
the objective is stated in the beginning; the robot is able to dive to depths of the ocean that would otherwise kill a human
zima blue
👍✌
Nitpick: No, you don’t _literally_ “feel what the robot touches.”

I'm sorry but this f*cking would terrify me 😨 in person. Already creepy af 😳
well, lets just take them their jobs away then...
woah i’m early
Yo first

ALHAMDULILLAH(SWT). ASTAGHFIRULLAH(SWT).
Can't stand the narrator's vocal fry. I'm out.
