How to Use a One-Arm Drive Manual Wheelchair

Linda K. Olson shows how to use a one-arm drive manual wheelchair. Both rims are on the left side of the wheelchair. The larger rim attaches directly to the left wheel. The slightly smaller rim attaches to the right wheel by a removable axle. She grasps both rims with her left hand to go straight or backwards. To turn she pushes or pulls on one rim only. When the axle is removed the wheelchair can be folded for travel and placed in the trunk of a car or on an airplane.
