A trekking paradise for beginners - Triund | mein humara pehla trekking aur camping experience.

In this video I and my wife Ashmeet went for trekking to Triund, Dharamshala, HP in January 2025.
Following are the points that might help you plan your trip to Triund.
1 Weather : we booked camping at Triund peak which is also called base camp. And because it was January, the weather during the day was good and sunny however the night was extremely cold. Though you get good camping tent and sleep bags up top at base camp but I recommend you take extra warm clothes when you go there in winters. Always check weather before you go for trekking. Best time to go is September - December.
2 Cost - we had a reservation for camping tent that cost us 1500 INR per night.
3 Food - when you book a camp for a night you get to have tea and dinner at the top and then for next morning you get tea and breakfast which is included in the cost you pay for camping. Food is not so good not so bad.
4 Triund top - there are two peaks above the base camp and you can have nice sunrise and sunset view there but to reach that point you can leave your belongings at the base camp and then trek there which takes an hour.
5 Trek - the trek is not an easy one and not that difficult one which means any beginner can do it. However, one should be very cautious about the steps he/she is taking and not take the trek casually. You climb 9000+ feet on the mountain and there are cafe every 40 minutes in first three hours of trek. The total time taken to do the trek for me and my wife was almost 4 and a half hours.
6 Socializing - you get a great opportunity to make new friends.
