Lovely footage of Sir Lamiel, nicely edited with nice crisp images and good variety of clips. I have to say I prefer Sir Lamiel in the darker green BR livery and smoke deflectors - much more attractive and better balanced looking. Loved the run past on the final clip - steam at night - classic shot with the fire reflecting off the exhaust - a perfect end to what others was an extremely enjoyable day! Thanks.
Badly bowled indeed mate. I don't do things by half me! Night shots with 30777 are taken to another level with the open cab affording a fantastic glow from the firebox.
Thanks very much. My Brother provided that shot and he's very proud of it.(only joking)If you'd seen my effort taken from the side, now that really was a shame.
@Phippstickman Thanks for your comment i'm glad you enjoyed it. Ironically this loco makes the same trip to Stratford this Friday and i intend to be out to video this as well. Although on this occasion it'll be running as 30453 King Arthur.
The camera i use is a JVC GY-DV 5100, a camera that doesn't have autofocus. My Brother provides additional material using a Canon XM2 which does. Some of his shots go out of focus so we don't use them.
Simply stunning footage! I thought this was specially-produced.
Really superb to watch a truly unique engine too......
Thank you!

Yes, really good video work - topped off by the last dramatic night shot. Great lighting and exposure!

Ooh, nice multiple crossover in the opening shot.
Be good to see her back in action on the main line before long.
Absolutley brilliant 5* I enjoyed watching it.EMuksteam
can't wait to ride behind this with Tangmere on the royal dutchy. never done southern traction on the main line before

Top quality stuff.Shame about the HST's in the beiginning shot. Lovely final shot to finish. An easy 5*
great footage fantastic qulity camera. it would have been even better if she was in her 1930s liverly and she was haling a set of maunsell coaches

no it closed in 1977 and the track torn up 1979. I remember the Evesham road level crossing
You must have some good equipment with you to make videos like that. Most budget camcorders can't keep focus on a moving train!
Tell that driver that the line from Stratford to Cheltenham closed in 1960. He needs to stop at SOA!
