I'm a proud Shiwi, a Zuni 100% . I take with me the belief and culture of my people where ever I am. Always in my heart and soul. I sure love coming home and seeing family and the community. The food, BOY do I take in the home cooking before returning to my urban life. Very blessed.

I used to enjoy being Zuni (being half Navajo and Zuni) and seeing the dances but Zuni people are pretty rude people. I didn't grow up in Zuni but on Navajo land and I was trying to revert back to my Zuni culture. They of course treat Zuni's who are trying to learn their culture pretty rude. Therefore, I realized the religion and culture is nonsense and contradicts science. So I became an Atheist now and I am now living with Navajos. Zuni's don't know how to keep their culture sacred and just show everything off. I hate how they allow nonnatives to watch their Kachina dances. In addition, they shouldn't invite people to their reservation if they are going to be rude. Anybody who goes there be careful these people are very illiterate and rude. I stopped going there and I am ashamed to be Zuni. There's more to life and the world then culture. All the Pueblos have is their culture. They don't know how to see the world holistically.

P.Anthony Lasiloo coming from San felipe pueblo staying on the rez we kept our dances very private. I came across this video and thought to myself I thought we was suppose to keep our dances sacred and not to show outsiders. I now stay in Arkansas and haven't been home in years only because I feel like I'll be treated as an outsider cause I been gone too long. But I must admit I do miss watching the dances.

I have some family who are half Zuni they also don't care to go south of Gallup. The haters took away their joy to go to Zuni. So they stay on their Navajo side. I'm teaching them our Navajo ways and traditions the ways of K'e ! They appreciate it. I told them Zuni's aren't going anywhere but we Navajos are entering a golden age !! We are moving forward and pushing the boundaries of our potential!! And they see it and will partake of it !! When you Shiwis are done with your trotting I'm sure you'll be at FIREROCK giving us Navajos that $$ !! Keep it coming!!
