Shrimp Scampi is confusing, because “scampi” is actually a specific species of lobster, and if you order it in Europe you will get that lobster, usually breaded and fried, served with fries and tartar sauce. “Shrimp scampi” in America is just shrimp with pasta. “Chicken scampi” is chicken, seasoned like the shrimp, with pasta and is an abomination.
