I feel ya on the emotions of hunting, nobody will ever understand what it is like until you do it. Congratulations on a nice harvest and good intuition!
Congratulations Allie, I knew a great video was due. Even you being a fantastic cook, there's no recipe for antlers. I'm sure your buck is out there for your taken and another video will be out with you doing just that. Love you, your channel and videos. Best of luck to you the rest of the season. Take care and be safe.
I really enjoy your videos I'm a forever subscriber. Excellent face paint nice quiet calm Hunter what more could you ask for. You even get some emotion priceless. Also awesome wedding ring tattoo.
Your emotion shows your appreciation and respect for the game you harvest. When you harvest your own food it makes you very cognitive of what and how much you eat. I got my youngest in the woods with me when he was four. He helps us put food on the table.
I really enjoy your videos and that was a slammer doe. Congrats. I've been hunting Pa whitetails for over 45 years and have cut myself gutting a tremendous number of times. for the last few years, I began wear the gut gloves as well as a cut proof fish cleaning glove on the hand not doing the cutting. they clean up easy with a little scent free soap and water and dry overnight.
Much congrats Allie. And you’re so right. There’s something very special that happens when it all comes together for us. Especially when it’s all done on public land. Public is the only place I hunt year after year after year. I live in Northeast Ohio, and while it does take plenty of work finding your own little piece of heaven on public land, the opportunities abound if you put that work in!!
@@OutdoorsAllie thank you guys for all the content Allie and all the hard work you do to keep us all entertained. Wishing you and everyone on your team a happy and very blessed Christmas. Hope this new year is the best one ever for all of us!!
Hallo Allie good to see you again was getting worried 😟 good to see you back in war paint again hunting critters again good luck and happy hunting to you 🦮🙂
I know guys who have become trail camera hunters. Nothing beats time in the stand, even if it's just a good couple hours of observation. First hand observations are what inspire me to change my set up for future success! Congrats on your successful hunt Allie!
I dont have any friends so i like to imagine adventures lol one of my favorite things is to be able to admire such amazing fun things life is an adventure blessing and happiness
06:30 - That was me when after a fruitless 2 months, I finally got on a doe (my biggest on ever, yielded 52lbs of meat). I love that feeling...it came out of nowhere at 65 yards and I barely had 2 seconds before she dropped off the down the ridge she was walking. The lever-action got it done for me. But yeah, I was nodding my head like that knowing that it was a solid shot and watching her run and drop, but while I was confident, I wasn't happy until I heard that crash, then I kicked back and had my breakfast to give her time (hot chicken soup from my thermos) in that 29 degree weather here in New York. Good feeling. Congrat Allie. You couldn't ask for a better shot.
@@OutdoorsAllie I got the shot on video POV on my channel. She ran right at me until she heard me rack the Marlin, then turned. (I hunt from the ground)
So crazy how we can see your emotion and everyone that also hunts knows exactly the feeling you had in this moment. Will try to get some saddle equipment and a bow in the next year and do my training and exam for the bow hunting licence. We are not yet allowed to hunt with a bow in germany, but this could change in some years... (We have a lot of places where hunting with rifles get more and more dangerous becuase you have a lot of people at everytime in the woods.) Also we dont hav something like public land to hunt on with a tag or something... really diffrent to the US.
Great video..! I left my target out this past fall and it was also destroyed…..a little JB Weld and some 4” wood screws worked great to put it back together…..just can’t take it apart now….😂.
I've said it before but I'll say it again. Your vids are amazing. I always get the VIBE. Keep up the great work. I always feel like I'm there with you. And I'm watching in Australia
Congrats on public land harvest. Does are big this year in PA. Several foresters I have talked to confirm that this was a very prolific mast year for acorns, beechnuts, etc. Certainly what we've been seeing here in S. Central PA.
Congratulations on your deer! I’m really intrigued by hunting from a saddle may have to check it out… your bow is like super quiet you’ve got a great setup Merry Christmas to you and yours!
I have a thousand questions. Is your anchor point a sling that you move up as you climb? How do you relieve the pressure on your body if you hang for a long time in the same position? Is the aborist harness more comfortable to hang in than climbing harnesses?
I have a couple other videos that I posted last fall that would do a much better job explaining! One I believe is titled "In Depth Saddle Hunting Setup"
Congrats! I’m still falling short of my goal to get a self filmed shot. Most people should pay attention to how effortless you drew your bow, that is what proper draw weight looks like. Great work.
I just got a tree stand saddle, I haven't used it yet. Part of me is a bit nervous about it, but I hear good things from a lot of people. Does it feel pretty secure?
You do not need that big green plastic thing, all you need is a Gerber bone saw and cut the pelvic bone in one cut in the same direction as the cut you made on the stomach to do the field dressing. Once the pelvic bone is cut all the way through you can stand on the doe's leg's and that will completely open up the area between the vent and the stomach area allowing you do thoroughly rinse out with a garden hose. Once go with the bone saw method you won't want to do it any other way. Not to mention you need a bone saw to cut the legs off anyways for quartering up the doe anyways.
The original Gorilla glue will stick your target back together, I had 23 targets at one time and repaired breaks with gorilla glue. Even left out in the weather these repairs lasted for 4 or 5 years.
I feel ya on the emotions of hunting, nobody will ever understand what it is like until you do it. Congratulations on a nice harvest and good intuition!
