You understand why this song seems to have reactors shy away from it. This is my favorite pure thrash song ever. It's an angry song, and it pounds you as only heavy thrash can do. Thank you very much for reacting to this song!!
Here's what guitarist Gary Holt had to say after someone was locked up for posting the lyrics online, which gives you what the song is about:
“The idea that an individual in this great country of ours could be arrested for simply posting lyrics to a song is something I never believed could happen in a free society,” states EXODUS guitarist Gary Holt. “James Evans was simply posting lyrics to a band he likes on Facebook, and he was locked up for it. The song ‘Class Dismissed (A Hate Primer)’ was written as a view through the eyes of a madman and in no way endorses that kind of fucked up behavior. It was the Virginia Tech massacre perpetrated by Seung-Hui Cho that was the subject and inspiration to write the song, one in which we put the brakes on playing it live after the Sandy Hook shooting, as we did not want to seem insensitive.”
Gary continues, “As some of us in EXODUS are parents, of course these things hit close to home, it’s every parent’s worst fear. These moments are the stuff of nightmares, and life, as well as music, isn’t always pretty. But when we start to overreact to things like lyrics by any band, including EXODUS, and start arresting people, we are caving in to paranoia and are well on our way to becoming an Orwellian society.”

Dude, your right. It was a tough one, but I can see why it was done. There are subjects that need to be talked about it. Much love friend!

Even in my old age, I love solos. I don't get it when people say it does nothing for them. A poor solo can ruin an otherwise good song, and a good solo can elevate a mediocre song.

There are for sure solos that hit me. I think it just depends on the solo.

Thank you for this reaction, it's not an easy subject to talk about. I appreciate your message, and hope someone can take something positive away from this. ❤

Underrated Exodus song. Another killer thrash song you might like is Warbringer-Glorious End

First off, it's awesome to finally see this amazing track being reacted to. It truly is a masterclass in epic, faceripping thrash of the highest order. It's a bit of a shame that the deeply uncomfotable subject matter casts a shadow over the music for some people. Preventing them from fully appreciating it. I loved hearing your thoughts, it really made for a great reaction. I've been an Exodus fan since 1990, and it's wonderful seeing people discovering their music for the first time. I'd recommend checking out "Honor Killings", which is another blazing thrash classic, but with horrific and disturbing subject matter. I'm now subscribing, I came to this after viewing your Angra (another of my faveourite bands) reactions which I also loved. 👍

yoooo thank you so much for being here! Indeed, It had tough subject matter but I believe things need to be talked about. How do we change anything if we don't talk about it.

Very angry song, Exodus are Bay Area thrash masters, such a great iconic band, been a fan since the late 80s. Long Live Thrash Metal.

I love this song.... I don't know if that's a bad thing but yeah not much of a metal head at all but this one song I can like because I've felt nihilistic and enraged at life and still am sometimes... suicidal.. etc. Yeah, thanks for this reaction to this song I've been searching and like no one would react to this... Song specifically of course though I could probably see why.. seeing as the subject is dark.. but still.. I enjoyed your points at the end of your reaction... And btw you weren't at all coming off as a Debby downer at all to me tbh :) 🤍 GBY Boss.

Yo much love friend! Yea I'm not afraid to react to tough subjects. I think we need to talk about things if we are ever going to fix things. I appreciate you being here and being so honest. Much love friend.

I mean, the concept and their intentions are right there on the album art: "Exhibit B: the human condition" and the skeleton holding all kinds of media of waging war, of conflict.

This whole album is insane......I thought it was the best album of 2009 .
The Name of the Album is The Human Condition ....each song is about Man's desire to Kill wether its serial killers , war , a bullied kid , etc.
And Exodus are the OGs of THRASH .......and there all about GUITAR SOLOS

With the decline of Thrash I lost interest in metal. I never could really connect to Death metal and all of its derivatives, and I still feel Thrash is way heavier and punchier than anything else.
But getting older I realize I cannot listen to this stuff anymore. Master of Puppets is still one of my favorite albums of all time, but that's it. Weirdly, getting older I'm digging some death metal more... Anyways, didn't click with me this time. Cheers, brother.

That song was lit! Nice energy in the music, but the lyrics were a bit over the top. I mean for obvious reasons. Art is subjective and can be taken the wrong way.

After doing some digging, they are bringing light to a tough subject. With that, I respect that they didn't shy away. But damn this was tough.
