For example, if you needed brain surgery, and you knew there was affirmative action to get gender equality in that field, would you start to second guess any female surgeons? More so than if there is no affirmative action.

Believe it or not there are civil rights attorneys and laws to prevent discrimination in the work place, and if there is a reporter of color who thinks they are being passed up because of their race, then they have the right to pursue legal action. It’s not the job of the mayor of a city to dictate staff of media companies who get to ask her a question.
